Watching this in 2024 thinking this is the apex of musical performance for this genre, but not just that- audio quality, mixing, camera work, lack of smart phones in the audience. I guess I’m just getting older (mid 30s) but this is one of the greats to me.

@kab8711 The Gorge Amphitheater is in Washington state...Along the Columbia River ...definitely a beautiful place and an amazing venue. DMB usually plays there on Labor Day weekend...hopefully they tour next summer...its always the topper to our year...we have met so many great friends there...hope u can make it to see the 3 day show...its a thing.

I play drum , i'm a drum guy , but my favorite Pink Floyd album is Animals because of the genuis guitar play of Gilmore along those songs....i've never eard of Warren Hayes before , i ran on that song hazardly a few weeks ago ....i knew about the Allemand brothers , a few songs but not much.... i,m 55 those are my years of connecting wth music ...the man is simply ''off the charts'' he is, from my opinion one of the , if not THE most incredible guitar player i've ever seen

Me! 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤ I listened to DMB since 1991. HOW could this be? Love Crosover-Prog-Surprise-Rock-Singer-Songwriter-Music. Should I say, since DMB? Yes. BUT, can’t believe anybody, first of all me, DMB is full of my playlists, but in the meantime I was so familiar (but listening to Neal Morse and really good stuff) I found out DMB is touring … Germany! But it’s gone. I have absolut no idea why. I never seen DMB, just always listened to it. Why????? Yesterday I felled into the Central Park concert, and all the other outstanding live appearances. Unbelievably amazed am I. IT‘s Deserved Masterpieces Believe it (DMB) 🤦‍♂️🤣 and listen to it, feel it and cry for joy. What a hidden story between DMB me … and I. 😅 Sorry! I even thought of driving to Brussels to 1. May 2024. Too far for money and time table. Just bought the live recordings. Party here. Please celebrate and party there. Hope there will be a Bluray some day …

I think the guitar playing is phenomenal but the song itself is kind of boring..meh! maybe it's me but I just don't give that much of a shit about how Cortez brutalized or whatever the South American Indians. Well you have to close your eyes while it's playing and imagine that you are there and if you really want to go to the concert you sure can ,you can do anything and we never get to old for a dream to come about,I recently made a bucket list and one of them is to go some concerts and watch them play , maybe even with my kids and granddaughters I have 4 granddaughters that are teenagers and I have 3 children of my own that are all the same age it's so cool they were all staying with me for a little while,it was a lot the house work and all but I do miss them ,man life is what we Make it and I have got a very blessed life for sure lost everything I had about 2 years ago even as much as the friends I even hung out with at that time,things always change , nothing stays the same ,I am living my dream, recently even found my true love ,boy life can be sweet, it's according to how you look at things always look at the silver lining on everything and thank God everyday and choose to be happy 😁

Personally I feel that whenever Warren Haynes is a ‘guest’ at another band’s concert, it’s not going to be just good, or even great, BUT absolutely amazing❗️👍 I’ve noticed that Warren always gives whatever he plays more than 100%, but in this case, I’d say he puts 200% into his 🎸 playing and his voice as well just by watching him!

Having walked where Montezuma reigned and climbed those pyramids back before they closed them off to the public, the temple of the sun and chichin itza in the yucatan this song has always held a special place for me. Neil young having writen this tune and Dave Mathews and the exceptional guitar of Warren Haynes makes it just that much more special, I love Dave's voice is so unique and Warren adds that gutsy touch that just puts in a special catagory to listen to. It amazes me in a way that the lyrics to many songs that were written/composed for the 1st time quite some years ago seem to have more relevance today than they did originally for multiple reasons. Absolute perfect performance! I saw this many years ago at a friends house and it never has left my mind, I am a Warren Haynes fan of many years and this to me is the epitome of his live performances. I had the pleasure of meeting him at a show in Winston Salem NC in early 2000s and he was such a chill down to earth guy. i agree with earlier comment completely that this show was the end of an era in that there are no smartphones out trying to capture what should only be experienced at the moment.
