I hit a vape, then intentionally exhale it out away from the camera before cutting the camera back on. I mean this seems pretty obvious by just watching it.. So, like I have said the entire time: I objectively did not hit a vape, walk over to the camera, and then fake my breath. How absurd would that be? 😆 I hit a vape while the camera was off, fully exhaled it out away from the camera, and then cut the camera back on. Pretty simple.

Videographer of a decade here: Fog, smoke, breathe, any liquid or solid suspended in air should always be filmed in the shade of a subject, with the effect only being present when the particles are back lit (or close enough). When filming for TV/motorsport we've ALWAYS made sure the vehicle is backlit for dramatic shots of the exhaust etc. Because the light being directly on the fog from the same side as the camera makes it almost impossible to see. This is not a conspiracy, just really effin basic lighting.

I'm sure Dave could debunk that much like the moon landing ones. The consistancy of the lighting suggests either many lights or a very bright light at a very far distance. Multiple lights can be ruled out because that would have created multiple shadows. The 'very bright light at a very far distance' wins. That is, the sun over 93 million miles away.

He said it was due to low humidity, but then somebody in the shade shouted that he could see it over there. He went over and both could see their breath there. They didn't know why, but at least they didn't say it was some fakery. Any scientific theory, postulation, hypothesis, and/or result that doesn't directly agree with their lies, it's automatically fake. Think about it: Fact: Gravity proves a spheroidal planet. Response: Gravity isn't real and everything is density and buoyancy. Fact: If everything is density and buoyancy, the calculations for buoyancy _require_ gravity to be considered. Response: Nu-uh! Fact: Ships disappearing bottom up over the horizon disproves the flat Earth. Response: Nu-uh! We can "pull it back" into view with a strong camera! Fact: It doesn't matter what evidence there is to disprove a flat Earth or prove a globe Earth, Flerfs will always ignore proof and replace it with supposition, estimations, and downright lies. I've lived 20 years in the northen parts of Finland. Winter breath can be easily "manipulated" too depending how you breath. Hold your breath longer and exhale slowly with open mouth results your breath being warmer and it consists more moisture from your lungs. This way exhale is a lot more visible. Your explanation of why exhaled breath sometimes does not condense into vapor is partially correct. The lungs do add a good amount of humidity to air before it's exhaled, so much so that it doesn't make much difference whether the inhaled air is dry or humid. HOWEVER, when the air is dry, the exhaled humidity is absorbed very quickly, and this can leave very little moisture available to condense into visible droplets. You can see this in different humidity conditions: when it's dry, a strong exhale will produce some vapor that disappears soon after leaving the mouth; when humidity is moderate, a cloud can be visible that evaporates after a few seconds; when it's cold and very humid, you can exhale and see that cloud of vapor dwell for quite some time.

We already have a tool called a water level tool that uses the surface of water to establish horizontal .. no level is curved. All verticals are parallel too, squares and cubes show this and all humans stand vertically. The globe is so easy to show wrong anyone still believing it have done no true study of geometry. We live in Euclidean three space and the only PRACTICAL geometry we use is Euclidean. This geometry deals with solids too. Go and read elements and you will learn about verticals. Orientations are set .. like vertical, it’s not many orientations around a ball they are called radial lines .. a circle ⭕️ has one vertical and if you turn it to put another vertical on it the first vertical is no longer vertical.

@@Auto..Payge. > We already have a tool called a water level tool that uses the surface of water to establish horizontal .. no level is curved. i've joked about flerfers saying this but you appear to be serious - to be clear, this is the equivalent of holding up a 10cm ruler and saying "Look, the edge isn't curved! so if we measure the ground with this then it's flat! if the world were really a globe then the ruler would be curved!" because get this: ruler small, planet _big._ at the scale of a 10cm ruler, there is no measurable curve to account for. there is even less in a water level which, looking at the pictures, would appear to hold maybe 1cm^2 of fluid surface area. the curvature of the earth at that scale will be easily dwarfed by surface tension. all this to say: you cannot possibly be serious. "The globe is so easy to show wrong! Look, I poured a glass of water, and I don't see any curve on the surface!" would be _less silly than this_ because a glass of water is at a larger scale even than a water level tool. > no level is curved. if "down" is defined as the center of a sphere, ie its center of gravity, then yes the "level" would be curved on a macro scale, and appear flat at a micro scale. exactly the same with our earth. > All verticals are parallel too, squares and cubes show this and all humans stand vertically. yes, and the fact that obelisks standing vertically are in fact _not_ parallel to each other when separated by the distance of, say, Syene to Alexandria, was how Eratosthenes was able to calculate the circumference of the globe to within an impressive margin of error over two thousand years ago. The globe is so easy to show to anyone who has done any real study of geometry.

Here's a fun experiment anyone can do regardless of where they live or what shape they think the earth is: Spend a few minutes in a walk-in storage freezer kept at -20C or below. You can find such walk-in storage freezers at larger supermarkets and food storage warehouses though you may need to first get the manager's permission before you can go in and film there. If you tell them it's for a college science project most companies will be happy to help you providing it is not a busy time for them. What do you think you will see? 1) My breath will be continually visible because the air is freezing. 2) After a short time my breath will no longer be visible because I will be breathing air that is completely dry. 3) My breath will not be visible. Go on. Try it. See what happens to your breath.

I was curious what sort of measurements Jeran did, and watched one of his streams. Turns out he debunked "vapegate" by having a chat with Witsit at the time, where Witsit essentially said you could make your breath cloud a bit by taking a swig of water. That's what he was showing, and the explanation was right there, which I suspect is why the vapegate nonsense never refers to the original stream's audio. Besides which we have toon showing some clouding that was usually too faint (showed in front of his dark T-shirt) and Tommy Grønvold linked to some completely unrelated footage demonstrating similar conditions in Norway. It's a tempest in a thimble, as usual, all based on building lies while grasping for straws.

So what about all the other times in the many videos we can clearly see puffs of vapour on everyone else while their heads remain fully in view of the camera and no vapes are anywhere to be seen? Are they all internally wired up to vapes so they can occasionally but not regularly exhale small puffs, but only when in the exact right lighting conditions where normal human breath in a freezing desert would show visible vapour...? I think one mistake non-flat-earthers make in these arguments against flat earthers is trying to say "Oh they're supposed to be adults but don't even know how ____ works," which can be found in this comment section too. The issue isn't not knowing how these sorts of things work- I sure as hell didn't know how concepts of humidity and such in these scenarios worked. The issue is, instead of recognizing that lack of knowledge and either accepting it or looking for scientific explanations, FEers instead assume conspiracy and point to it as evidence of said conspiracy while disregarding any and all evidence to the contrary.

Came here to say exactly this. I hadn't thought about whether you should be able to see your breath all the time in Antarctica, but once Dave started talking about it, it made perfect sense. This is a good example of "common sense" frequently failing you. Physical phenomenon in places you don't have any experience with might be far different than you'd expect. Most people take these things in stride and take the opportunity to, you know... LEARN SOMETHING NEW. But conspiracy nuts tend to think they already know everything and when something doesn't behave the way they think it should they simply say it's fake. This behavior signals a very tenuous grasp of reality that you rarely even see in children.

As an Australian who's never actually experienced weather at blow freezing temperatures, I also didn't know much about how breath frosts under different conditions. But a simple explanation and a moment's thought to consider whether it was realistic or not was enough to persuade me that there are quite a few factors at play here. 1. They are in a desert; a desert of ice but still a desert with very low baseline humidity. 2. They are at 2500 ft elevation, lowering the air pressure. 3. It was windy at times though it was not always apparent. 4. The sensitivity of camera will be constantly changing to compensate for differing light conditions from ultra-bright when mostly snow and ice is in frame to significantly darker when a person wearing clothes that are non-reflective fills most of the frame. 5. Witsit was being badgered to show his breath so he was inhaling and exhaling quickly giving less time for the air he'd inhaled to warm and take up moisture in his lungs. After a few breaths he complained about a sore chest which would have resulted from chilled and dehydrated lungs. Possibly his breath might have been more visible if he'd inhaled, held his breath a bit, and then exhaled. Maybe. Pouncing on one thing that doesn't align with your preconceptions and calling out fake is completely disingenuous.

@mauldothelastcrafter8194 👍🏼 Same here, i probably observed it in other cold places too but just wasn't as attuned to it. (Cleveland, Long Island, etc.) Bottom line is they'll claim whatever they think they need to to keep the grift going. I mean i've already been told many times Antarctica is off limits because the Atlanteans, the Ancient Egyptians, the Pleiadeans, and the Austrian painter with his No-no crowd are controlling all of the natural environment from within that continent, using liberating technology that is denied to the rest of us. There is now a core of about 3-5% of U.S. Americans who now believe that no new inventions by "us", the regular people of Earth, are possible, because the Antarctic crowd is so advanced that they just dribble their oldest stuff onto us every few years, and it takes us years to reverse-engineer it so we can produce more of it. I don't know whether to laugh or cry, because some of that actually seems plausible to me, but when you bring in Pleiadeans, German storm troopers with iron cross helmets keeping a 135-year-old Austrian painter alive, and controlling earthquakes, volcanoes, sea level, and mass extinctions in the Northern Hemisphere from a cave under an ice sheet at 75° South latitude, the rest becomes kind of a hard sell...😆😭

All of these and the whole TFE are very interesting. Unfortunately, there can truly be no Final Experiment, because of one simple rule. Unreasonable people can not accept reason. I used to get a kick out of new police officers who would banter back and forth with people who they had arrested for drunk driving, trying to tell them sensibly why they had been arrested. I would eventually just tell them to save their breath, because the person was drunk and temporarily unreasonable. This is the same scenario, except that the unreasonable is a permanent condition.

Anyone who has grown up in a climate like Canada's, has as a child figured out the "breath vapour" phenomenon in winter temperatures. The amount of visible "cloud" is dependent on the moisture content and contrast between the exhaled breath and ambient air. The colder the air itself is, the less moisture it is capable of carrying. The more rapidly a person breathes, the less moisture is contained in each breath. The Flerf claims that seeing variations in people's visible breath cloud, proves anything for their paranoia afflicted membership, is just asinine.
@John_Smith_60
@John_Smith_60 2 күн бұрын
Just a clarification on the "less moisture" in cold air. It's not that cold air can't carry as much moisture, but that more of the moisture has already condensed/frozen out because the air is below the condensation/freezing point of water.

I have lived in northern, snowy, areas for most of my life. Be it France, Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, and Wisconsin, I can promise you one thing from lots of experience. If you go from inside to outside in winter, since the breath is formed in the throat and mouth, within minutes, or less the colder it gets, your visible breath goes away as your body acclimates to the cold. Even if you're wearing a ski mask, it will only delay that for a short time. You can also extended, if like me, you're a nose breather and you keep your mouth closed as long as possible. once your mouth and throat get close to the same temperature as the air around you, that breath is no longer warmer than the air. Therefore no more visible breath. If you go inside to get something and then come back out you might have visible breath again, but not always if it's very cold and windy it can take a couple minutes or more for you to acclimate to the warmth inside.

Don't forget, the air in that house ultimately comes from the cold dry outside air. The _relative_ humidity inside the house will be lower than outside, because warm air can hold more _absolute_ humidity, and thus even further away from the condensation point. It's why air humidifiers are often used in winter, and dehumidifiers in the summer.

All I recall is that numerous Flat Earthers (Like Nathan Oakly) used to do their videos with reproduction Gleason Longitude and Time Calculators on their walls in the background. In the lower right-hand corner where the Suns circuit over the Tropic of Capricorn is depicted, the text clearly states that there is no sunlight visible below 80 degrees south. I have yet to hear any Flat Earther admit that all of the videos touting Alexander Gleason's positions on Antarctica were wrong. As soon as the cameras at Amundsen-Scott went live, anyone with internet access could view sunlight at the Southern Pole during their summer season and watch the shadows change.

I work in the film industry in Canada (where we are known for the hot winters). We sometimes run into the opposite issue where the breaths are too visible and can cause problems visually (like say the story take place in the summer). So in order to combat that, a little hack we use is we get the actors to suck on an ice cube for a few beats and we start rolling. This method I'm guessing "cools" down the inside of the mouth temporarily so the breath that comes out isn't nearly as warm and humid and is closer to the outside conditions. Pretty neat hack. Before FEs starts jumping at the first image they see, they need to first understand a thing or two about optics and lighting and stop being so reactionary and impulsive.

A flerfs creativity for denying indisputable facts is great, and it's hard to contend with because unlike that of a scientist it is unbound from reality. What a lot of people don't get is that Antarctica is a desert. Of course it's dry! All that ice you see is frozen solid. The water is trapped at below-freezing temperatures and humidity depends on the water staying liquid, which at that temperatures is very not probable. We are conditioned to think of ice like it is just water and it will drive up humidity, which is true at the temperatures most of us are used to (barely below freezing out in an urban environment, which will be far more wet), but in the case of Antarctica, the ice remains solid. So, it's very dry. Trying to imagine the ice of Antarctica as just "water" would be the same as saying that the Sahara desert is covered in lava. Well, yes. Very cold lava.
