Sometimes it pays to be late, in double! My late scenario 2 1/2 hr drive, rain, flat tire, spare rusted under truck, hacksaw, change tire!! Turkey 21 1/2 lbs 11 in bd 1 1/2 in spurs.

Dave Thank You for the commitment to always going the extra mile. Being relentless is the biggest asset a spring gobbler hunter can have!

This was a good one Dave. Love the videos with you and Courtenay and the dialogues and connection you too have. This one was just smooth. Regardless how bad it seems sometimes, remember bro....you are turkey hunting with your gal, doesn’t get better than that!

This is my favorite video y’all have done. I have watched it 50 times haha. It’s the true emotions and the highs and lows of a turkey hunter. Just amazing how fast it can all change. This was a less than 5 minute swing

Courtney is right about leaving a gobbling bird. Dave, you were blessed on this one. Better be glad it worked.

I agree. I was questioning myself as well. But this particular spot has treated me well and this was my only opportunity to hunt it. I hadn't had the chance to hunt it and I'm a sucker for wanting to see and listen over "new" ground for the season.

I have the same problem dealing with the time change or hunting in west Georgia near the time zone line. Stupid phone would change time zone from one side of our camper to the other. Finally started using an alarm clock, no more issues!!! Nice birds!! GO DAWGS!!!

I did for years and got lazy. I have since went back to the old school alarm clock.

Dave, I live in Jackson County Alabama and I know exactly where you and Ms. Courtney are at. I won’t say it on here but I have killed several off that piece of property and 2 really nice stud deer there as well. That was an awesome hunt and footage and I just want to thank you for doing these videos. They are my favorites and they are awesome!!!!! I especially like the reworks. Keep up the grind buddy

I agree. I (and then she) was in a terrible mood with the circumstances. Hence my comment about being more optimistic. It's a fine time to be alive- I need to remember it could be August on those "bad" spring mornings.

One thing I’ve noticed about turkey hunters . I’ve been hunting turkeys since 1972 and I’m 70 now. I’ve killed plenty of turkeys. All turkey hunters think no one else can call like them. No one can hoot like them. I’ve heard all kinds of noises made by hunters. You’re good at both calling, hooting, and videoing. I just don’t like the videos that are popular today where everyone has to comment or laugh at someone else’s hooting or calling. I see it all the time. I do watch your videos but be kind. Not everyone sounds like what they’re imitating.
@richardbritt36115 жыл бұрын
Dave, I'm much older than you. And have killed countless deer and turkey. Almost exclusively hard pressured public land. No decoy, almost nothing but timbered ridges in hardwoods of East Tennessee. I live near the Central time zone but stay on Eastern. Years ago, I bought a cheap Casio from Wal Mart.I'm right handed so the watch stays on my wrist during turkey season and left wrist during deer season. So glare from my watch face isn't a problem during turkey season and doesn't interfere with my release strap during deer season. Otherwise, I'd have continued to trust that Stupid phone!!! Also, Ben Rodgers Lee taught me to turkey hunt. And so did Denny Gulvas VHS!!!
