The older man who shot first reminded me a lot of my grandfather in his last few years hunting. He never cared much for turkey hunting but we’d put him in a deer stand and the first sight of horns would get him fired up and he’s start letting lead fly. I didn’t get it at first, and would quickly become frustrated but I come to figure out that a lot of it was him not knowing if that would be the last time he got to get in the woods or not. Makes me happy to know he got just as excited over that last experience as he probably got on his very first. Good stuff Dave, thanks for carrying us along.

I love keeping it real. It's been awhile but I missed a shot at a turkey 3 days ago. Kind of makes me feel better knowing that someone who has turkey hunted much longer than I have can miss a turkey too. 😊

Other than Dale Outdoors, this is the only turkey hunting I watch on YT. I found PP during covid when our restaurants were shut down. I love to get insight from guys that really know the birds and the two legged characters on this channel are a hoot. There is much more to the hunt than the kill, but I do find it disappointing when there's no kill shot. I understand it's incredibly hard to film this stuff, so it makes me wonder why there isn't more barrel cam footage? This coming from a guy who knows nothing about this kind of equipment. ROCK ON GUYS!!

We had a tornado come through my hunting property about 2 weeks before season. I know this is a odd question, but I’ve not heard a single gobble. Will they survive that? Are they gone? Lots of trees down also. Should I give up on my best spot because of this? It’s Sunday, season opened on Wednesday. HAVENT heard a gooble one!!! Hunted every day

@@thatonesatelliteguy "He wasn't too far, but he's about 50." is what I heard right after the shot. Everyone gets a little excited and has to deal with some nerves occasionally, but he clearly panicked and shot too soon. Been there and done that, so I know he'd have loved to "un-pull" that trigger.

Dave, Nothing against the Primos crew. They are fine fellas and an asset to Mississippi. But you got your audience by doing it the hard way; public land, big timber with no game cameras or feeders. Watching you hunt highly managed private land simply doesn’t bring the same excitement. I know there’s pressure to put out content but I hope you’ll stick with what got you here. Keep them coming. Thanks

Why would you make that comment!! Your comment is no different than a anti-hunter making a comment about killing a turkey. Turkey hunting is turkey hunting. Also I'll add there are some public lands I would rather hunt than a lot of private "managed lands"
@thursty15
@thursty15 Жыл бұрын
@@hootowl20 What Kurt said is way different from what an anti hunter would say. "Nothing against the Primos crew", in other words, "im ok with what they do, and respect what they do, so i will leave them to do what they do." Kurt is just simply stating that he enjoys watching Dave hunt, because it is relatable to himself and probably how he hunts. While still respecting that there are differences, can we not state our opinions and values? I too respect the Primos guys. But im with Kurt, and watch Daves videos because they are relatable to me, and i too hope they remain that way. No glamour, no fancy gear, no trick editing. Just raw, real, unfiltered turkey hunting.

It is because this year in Mississippi for non-res, you have to draw a hunt in order to hunt from the 15-28th of March, after that non-res can hunt any public any day. Not that it even matters, a turkey is still a turkey no matter where you are, in fact some public areas in Mississippi are even more strictly managed than a lot of private lands in ms. But who cares right, private turkeys are just that easy huh.
