Just lovely! What else is there to say about such wonderful skill? I enjoy drawing mostly people that I really do not know because we are all aging but perhaps there might be a subscriber who might find their “niche”with helping bereaved ones. If an artist talks directly to directors who plan funerals ( with a small portfolio keeping it simple)sometimes loved ones do want a lovely hand portrait. The list goes on from court sketches who use pastel pencils to colored charcoal or a mix with a Derwent drawing set and that is practice and work to wildlife but art is always in demand.😊

Hi Juul, thanks for getting in touch... The verdaccio method uses a green underdrawing as the base colour. I use the green as it is the complementary colour of red which naturally when combining the two colour creates subtle shadows and de saturation. I tend to keep the colour as primaries and secondaries and a few earth colour to create my work. 🙏🙏

Interestingly the paper tone helps the process and depending on what it left in the home stock it truly might mean green, 😂 I find that if the tone of the paper already helps then why relayer since green is used. It is a beautiful method especially I see with the use of red/ or warm colored❤ paper but it is naturally what one would do to get the best use and beauty just as far as my little opinion might count. Who can afford to just keep layering. Some pastel paper can take a lot but wow!
