If that truck still has factory clutch with factory flywheel it needs to be replaced cuz the flywheel can destroy itself. They used Dual mass flywheels. Quieter but pretty junk. If the seller wants 4k I’d take it as is. But the seller probably wants 10k for it when it’s worth 4 cuz of the issues.

@Astromyxin4 ай бұрын
The pipes joints are fitted backwards on the exhaust too. They should be installed in nested/shingle fashion from source to drain in the direction of the flow of medium flowing within it, like the downspout of a rain gutter. The outlet/source is overlapped by the first pipe, the first pipe is overlapped by the next pipe downstream and so on. If you do it the other way around, then gas or liquid can just flow around the start of next pipe at the joint and escape the system.

The door hinges on that 96 were loose like that after two years, and the hinges on my 2003 are just as bad after only 11k. I bought brand new hinges for the 03, and they have play in them right out of the package. When the hingest are lined up just right they have slop. There's .010" of play in both hinge pins. The old hinges had about .012 and at the end of the door it moved almost and inch and up and down. But it opened and closed just fine. $140 for new hinges and I gained nothing. Its still got play. I kicked the lower hinge on an angle a bit and that took out the play but it will come back as it wears. That truck looks super clean, if its not high miles, its still worth buying and fixing. They're getting hard to find, and one's that aren't rusted all to hell are even harder to find.

Guy's really, your checking the door hinges. That's a 90's Ford F250 pickup truck. It's extremely clean, that's been well taken care of. And some gaskets are slightly weeping, and not even a serious condition. The oil pan probably just needs to be tightened, because we know pan bolts always back off a skoutche and need to be ready torqued. Those trunnion bearings are OEM and not serviceable, but not squeaking or clicking yet. It needs some new exhaust clamps, the leaf springs are worn from normal use, this is the first time that I'm not completely on your side Dave. Transmission pan is weeping, like most, because the owner had the transmission fluid, filter and gasket replaced to keep up on the maintenance and who ever did the service didn't put lock tite on the bolts and probably didn't torque the pan bolts down, a lot of mechanics don't do it on trans and oil pan gaskets. I don't think for one second that the owner of this beautifully kept truck, was trying to hide anything from the interested party, and looks like the maintenance has been kept up on, extremely well. And the owner is showing complete transparency and honesty, just by letting the interested party take it to you guys and pick it apart! Nobody looks under their vehicle on a regular basis, to see if they have gaskets weeping or other components, especially if it's not causing problems or making noise. I can see picking the damn thing apart for the buyer to shred the asking price apart! In my opinion, it's obvious to see that this truck, has been kept up really well and is a good example of an F-250 diesel for this particular year, including but not limited to the paint, tires and rims. And on a side note; the interested party brought it to you guys to fine comb the thing. And just the door hinges alone, I can bet that if it gets bought by the interested party, for a lower price because of the things that need attention? I'm willing to bet they won't replace the door hinges and pins either, and other stuff like the trunnion bearings. Leaf springs. Sorry Mr Dave. No disrespect intended on your part however the way Americans treat Americans in our country right now. I'm sure they're more interested in getting it cheaper, than they are about, all the little things you guys found. Sorry that's how I feel. Keep up the good work sir.

Went to look at a 2016 Mazda cx-3 for my daughters first car at what I thought was a reputable honda dealer. I made an appt to view the car so I wouldn’t have to wait. I get there and they gave the car to another customer as a loaner. They said he was coming back with it. He brings the car around I open the lift gate and I get a massive smell of smoke. He can tell I noticed it. He then says the customer was smoking in. Which could be true but I also this kid stunk of cigarette smoke when I met him. He goes on to say the car had been details but we’ll detail it again and treat it for smoke. When I get in the car the headliner is pretty dirty. Including smudges on the overhead lighting and sun roof buttons. Not sure how it was detailed and left in that condition. He also states the car was inspected by his ase mechanics. When take off I notice the TMPS light is one. I also hear a noticeable creaking sound. While at a red light I start checking the windows and buttons to make sure everything is working. I noticed the infotainment screen doesn’t react to touch. I also notice this what seems to be fogging n two corners of the screen and at the center top. He starts using the physical knob to control the system. I told him I was pretty confident this should be a touch screen. He was adamant about it won’t be because there is a knob to control the screen. We get back to the dealership.i tell him I would like the issues addressed prior to me signing for the car and I want to have it inspected. He said they are all easy fixes and he’ll make sure they put air in the tir, but since they already inspected the car they would start to work on the issues until a purchase agreement is signed. I explained I’m not sure how you mechanics missed the issues if it was inspected by them. I further mentioned that the screen needed to be addressed since it should be a touchscreen. He said if I find that it should end touch screen we’ll fix it. He offered to write the purchase agreement contingent on making the repairs. I told him I’d review the docs if he would send the DocuSign but I’m not spring about 90 minutes here. They dont offer the service. Later that afternoon I send him a car review showing the screen is touchscreen. He said that’s a different year (it’s not) and that his manager says it’s not touchscreen. So I them send him a link of the 2016 cx-3 sales brochure from Mazda USA stating it’s touchscreen. That was 2 days ago and I haven’t heard from him. Needless to say I didn’t purchase the car and decide to buy a new car for her instead dealing was fools like that. Beware of Howdy Honda in Ausitn TX.
