I am constantly amazed at your manual dexterity - the way you use the rotary cutter, the free-hand cutting that you do with the blade and the rotary cutter and on and on. We have twin grand boys. Blair always gets blue and Hayden green. I recently finished huge 100” quilts for their 21st, they are both over 6’ tall now so needed BIG! One blue quilt and one green of course, different designs. Was touching to see you use the same colours for another set of twins.

Awesome quilts. I had a vintage blanket that my daughters used to fight over it. So I decided to cut it in half, add their names so they could each have one. They never used it again. I guess they just liked to fight.

Milo is a brand of drinking chocolate powder (not sure if it's sold in the US). The packaging is green. I think I would confuse the twins because of this 😅 Love both quilts

I always LOVE your quilts, and enjoy watching your creative process. Reading Patricia Belyea's Book: "East-Meets-West Quilts: Explore Improv with Japanese-Inspired Designs" - I learned about The Unexpected Visitor. You interject a fabric or two that doesn't match anything else. I loved the idea and have started doing this myself. I think it's especially playful for children's quilts. So, rather than an 'Oops' it becomes a design feature. 😁

I don’t know if you know this, you can draw on the fusible then iron it onto the fabric. Then cut out the shaped fabric and all. It is much easier. I love these quilts.

That works for raw edge applique, but I was doing turned edge so I needed a 1/4 inch of fabric around the paper to turn the edge over, couldn't get that overhang of fabric if I cut out fabric and paper at the same time :P
