I have always loved that open nature of Planescape. This is a hub world from which I can dip my toes into almost any other setting, published or personally created. Want to try a short campaign in Al'Qadim or Maztica without centering your entire experience there? Planewalking PCs can easily visit these locations, have some grand adventures, interact with all the most interesting parts of the world, then leave before it has time to overstay its welcome (or the PCs, theirs). For GMs who have more stories they want to tell than time to run full-blown campaigns in every world, this is a great way to have it all.

I only have a few of these (Mechanus, Baatezu, few others) and don't have or see the main books. Thanks! I'll see if they are on DrivethuRPG. Great guide!

This seems like the perfect setting for running several episodic one shots that add up to a science fantasy campaign. Great video. I learned quite a bit about the setting.

Sigil has a hard G. There’s actually a gag in one of the books where someone is executed for getting that wrong.

Its inhabitants peaceful... yeah right Pricilla. Riight. I really like the Planescape setting - it has such a distinct feeling, the art is fascinating and it is just odd. Have only played in 2and ed Planescape once, but it was a blast. The only thing I really disliked was the inclusion of real world pantheons, but that seems to be rather common in rpgs.

I always thought it would be pronounced Ay-thar as in the name was derived from the word atheist. I love all of your vids btw.
