Such a clever player; just always a thought beyond everyone else. A video of goals cannot of course show his contribution in general play and assists which was league-leading into the bargain. Very rarely injured too, despite being relentlessly kicked and fouled. Always brave and prepared to put his foot or head into the mix. Deceptively quick and could turn a defender better than anyone who ever played the game, in my opinion. Was absolutely brilliant at Celtic also; only Larsson ever realised his iconic status with Celtic fans since. 🍀

The pitches were pretty good back in the day for most of the season. But obviously with British winter weather there was a spell of a couple of months when the pitches were really bad. But they were mostly in pretty good condition for six months of the season. The bad pitches also helped as many goals be scored as prevented them. It evened out.
