I like how he tries to look all serious with his glasses and all, but he's actually the biggest dork ever. He never has and never will fail to make me smile.

Ciggies are now public enemy number one Thanks to the little bastards, He has stopped touring, and now I can't see him live and can only sit at home glooming and dooming and watch live recordings and stare at pictures of him, and dance dementedly to his sexy voice David, you are my god. And even if you're not god, you're his gift to both music and women.

Well said! people like adam lambert and lady gaga who cite Bowie as an influence sort of have this idea that it's *all* about shock value and thwarting boundaries recklessly for the sake of it, but that's not it! Bowie knows how to really entertain, not appall people.

I think he was telling Adam Lambert how bad his performance on the AMA's sucked. Bowie proves it's not about pushing some envelope, it's about fantastic performance. You can be as risque as you want without pissing off the television audience if you know how to work the crowd.
