I first saw Bowie when he sang Starman on ToTPs, 1972 when I was 15 & had a very similar experience 😮 I didn’t even know who this young guy was (although I have heard of him) but I totally got everything he said. I even knew what his message to DB would be, ‘Thank you’ & his reasons why, it would be mine too & for the same reasons. From one Bowie fan to another I see you 💜

When I first saw him I thought he was jumping on a gender bandwagon. But actually I'll hold my hands up and say fair play. I judged you wrong. David Bowie was a trail blazer. I think the biggest problem people have with change is how it comes about. If it is demanded of the people then you will get resistance, but if you say look this is me then things become a lot simpler. You don't know Dom, you don't know what he says nor what he sings. at his concerts, inclusiveness and not being afraid to be yourself, no matter who you are, what gender identity you are, what sexuality, age, etc you are, you are free to express yourself at his concerts, because his fans are a family, and that is true. A fan in Poland tweeted about how bummed they are that the government is anti-LGBTQIA, and he promised to come and make a demonstration against it, so he came, and with his entire crowd there, he painted a rainbow flag on a street, with lead paint so it would be harder for them to remove. He inspires many, many people. And he regularly interacts with his fans on a personal level. Right now he's watching TikToks they are creating and picking 3 people a day to facetime with. He does a podcast where he talks to fans about important topics in their lives, to get awareness out about important issues to both them and him. The guy does so much for his fans and people than most anyone outside of the fanbase knows.
