My dad went to see him live and he also got a autograph from bowie now that autograph hangs on my wall in my bedroom! And whenever I look at it it reminds me of this music video because it was the one he saw live R.I.P. Bowie ❤

I saw this performed on some Late Night show in the mid 90’s (maybe SNL) when I was in my young teens and became an instant David Bowie fan. Went and bought Earthling soon after.

Well, I'm sure he happened to like Drum 'n Bass / Jungle as he mentions it the earthling interview. But the genre isn't for everyone. A lot of his work involved taking trends and attempting to master them so my guess is he enjoyed it as a sort of challenge. I'm a fan of Jungle music and I very much enjoy how he managed to give his on twist to the genre like he has done to other genres in the past.
