I heard about David Bowie when I went to England to study English in 1973. I was 15 and I saw his pictures on music magazines. He was Ziggy then and I was impressed by him but after that my life went on up to last month when I re-descover him and I was astonished that such an artist has not been so much followed in Italy as he merited. It was an unexpected discovery and I fell in love with this big artist. Thank you to Utube for the emotions it has allowed me to feel. Rest in peace Mr. Bowie.

Aidan that’s exactly what happened to me, my father told me the guy who played larith died. I didn’t care much because I was only 11, about a year later I got a recommendation on KZbin. It was a song from labyrinth and I watched it and that dug me into listening too life on Mars and most all of his music, he has had a huge impact on my life and I’m only 13. I wish I had the chance to meet this amazing man, at least I know I can listen to his music whenever and wherever I want. R.I.P starman.

Remember when David played instruments throughout the shows. I remember when he played saxophone too. I saw him in every era. Every genre of music he ventured into, even when he ventured towards soul with Young Americans, it was ALL incredible. His voice makes me melt. He was sophisticated, and the elegance and of OR the slightest of movement to watching him hop up to the front of the stage with his elbows on his knees with his arms twisted in such a way that it looked unnatural. It made him seem like he was from another world. I remember just the slightest of a swerve in the movement of that sleek, thin hunk of a man that he could literally make me go limp.

I’m such a great admirer of all his work, deeply agree with you, he is life-changing!! And it’s nice to see how some people had the opportunity to witness his shows and evolution. Tho a part of me still believes I was born in the wrong era and place, I’m still glad to be able to admire his art via KZbin and Internet in general, also became a vinyl collector thanks to Bowie. Thanks for sharing!!

Filmed on September 12, 1983 @ the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver Canada. If you have the original "home video" version of "Serious Moonlight" released in 1984, you need to buy the 2006 re-released version on DVD there's 5 bonus performances not previously available in the '84 version. Also they finally released a 2CD version of this same show in 2019.

Bowie in the 80's... Why are so many of his critics discouraged by this veneer of success & greatness. Here he's all that he should be... he's healthy, sober & beautiful. I was at those concerts & I never heard him more involved, exuberant & proud of his newfound chart success! The band is great too. This was Bowie, the 'Superstar' of any decade!!! Come back to us!

Id put money on it that he surely would’ve chosen space had he given death an actual thought, as happening as soon as it did and beyond the concept I mean. He was much too busy trying to create up until his final days and still believed he was going to prevail- Blackstar was only plan B/a just-in-case. Since he was going to make very moment count-besides death. I really don’t think he was the type to think beyond what he was able to create in the moment. Which meant that when “the” Moment finally came..he quickly/randomly just thought about a place where he once had felt the most at piece and rambled it out as he left us. Cuz I seriously think if he had given it ANY actual thought- it most likely would’ve been space. Just as I refused to think of him being gone and hadn’t thought about it til now because of you. Wow. I wonder🤔
