Have been watching David since his Ziggy days and walked with him through all his creative years. Seen him live countless times and love Mick Ronson, wished SRV had actually been with him on Serious Moonlight tour as he was on the album. Early Slick, Carlos Alamar, Nile Rodgers, Mike Garson……. But Wild is The Wind is exotic, brilliantly performed and a huge tear jerker. One of my fav tracks and there are plenty of versions including the BBC session with Earl Slick. Add to this Wild Eyed Boy From Freecloud as double A side as we used to say and you have a winner. I even had the original Space Oddity on old Phillips label which had Wild eyed boy as a B side. Our magic but stolen, now worth a fortune. So wild is the wind is part of my life…

curiously, the original recording from 1957 by Johnny Mathias, for a film soundtrack, is rather dull. the most famous recording, by Nina Simone (1966), is a masterpiece, and David Bowie's recording seems to be the best male voice version, or perhaps I should say, the one I feel is the most stunning.

Likewise and even more so now that he is gone. I've been literally in tears listening to this entire album tonight alone in my bedroom and for once not picking up one of my guitars, plugging in and playing along with every song as I've done since the vinyl album came out. If it wasn't for seeing Bowie & Mick Ronson on TV in 1973 performing his last show as Ziggy when I was 9 years old.. I wouldn't still be playing guitar today at the age of 59. David & Mick back in 1973 influenced and inspired me to play guitar for the rest of my life. Both of them were musical spiritual gifts to me, to have the ability to learn their music by ear and play guitar just as they did. I love you both like older brothers and my favorite guitar teachers and that includes Earl Slick and Carlos Alomar ❤👼🎸🎶🎵🎶

I love this song "Wild Is The Wind" by him from 1976 title track album Station To Station on the RCA label. Life can be a Bitch that good decent people who made mistakes from their demons have to leave early while ignorant senseless A-Holes can have a longer Lifespan. Bowie went back to the star ship as his 1972 alter persona ego Ziggy Stardust. Plus he was known as The Thin White Duke and just went back to being just plain David Bowie. He was a Blackstar. His voice in this song is mind blowing! The range, the pitch just absolutely everything about what a talent he was. Very sadly missed by millions ❤❤❤❤❤

I have and even though he arrived with his entourage he cane ove to me on the dance floor grabbed me. And danced and then he took me over to the table and chairs and sat me on his lap I was 18 and a huge bowie fan since eleven I will never forget his accent his charisma charming young dude this was when he was down under in Brisbane. The serious moonlight tour my favourite. Bowie song on stage is station to station the sound of the train is deafening and melodic and iam mesmerised by Bowie’s presence on stage and off he is loved by all boys and grrrls. Rock on Davey. Rebel rebel hot tramp I love you so I was in a street gang I was a rebel how could he know
