4:15 ferrari, maserati, a bit of aston martin. "a bit" Its a db5, don't kid yourself, is it is it coincidence that david brown was the name of the boss at aston martin in the 60s, thats what db stands for, but no one is pointing out that his bloody name is the same!

Saw this and sat in it at the 2016 London Motor Show and it is a work of beauty. This was designed to be a nod to the sixties and it does so very stylishly. The tail end is as successful and as bold as the front, no pencil-thin LED light clusters here! This type of tail-fin design was a bold common feature of the sixties. Hats off to British enterprise and engineering. I only wish I had £600k spare to acquire one...

So his names David Brown (the name that the 'DB' in aston martin cars is from) His career started in agricultural manufacturing (just like the other David Brown) And it looks like an aston martin (The other David Brown used to own Aston Martin) It has a Jaguar engine (The other David Brown never really drove Astons instead a Jaguar XJ) i'm just so damn confused right now....

Yeah. Classic Astons look great. Modern ones all the same and ugly.
@Munkenba10 жыл бұрын
KrekerisT thats a dumb opinion. Everyone knows old cars are nice, but they're not nice because they're old. The only reason one would say that the aston db9 is ugly is because its not from the 60s, which is a really closed minded way of looking at things. Designers are far more challenged these days with modern regulations, but some people can despite this still design a gorgeous car. Modern style is different to classic style, but it can be just as good, if you don't get all bullshit nostalgia about it. Early db cars, (pre db4) are not as good looking as modern astons if you look at them with your eyes and not your cliche fake "old is better" opinion.

very nice. How would I improve it. Rear horizontal tail lights. Three vertical strips on front grill instead on one. Many gauges in the center dash area like (Wiesman) temp- water, oil, exhaust gauges .... water, oil, pressure gauges and a compass... A wooden/veneer front dash (Bentley) and side door finish ... El-Cantara, aluminum, carbon is UGLY and falls apart in 5 years. Oh yes, lets have 46" leg room in the front so that 195cm rugby players can be comfortable for those 10 hour rides.

It's not as pretty as a DB5 and there is no relation between this David Brown and, if you like, the 'original' David Brown. Does that make this a bad car? No. Does that make this David Brown a bad person? No. Of course it fucking doesn't. What's wrong with paying homage to a car and person you admire? Nothing. It's still a lovely looking vehicle that's clearly being made with great care and affection. Why be so needlessly critical?
