Man, even when Carradine was full-blown alky, deep in it, he was still a really good actor. Charismatic as hell. Capable of clever line readings even while fully loaded. That's pretty cool. Even the way he shuffled off this mortal coil, despite the memes, was pretty bad-ass when you think on it. He lived a full life, definitely. Good on him!

This was made during a period in David Carradine's career when he acted in 20 movies over 20 months. Just after filming this movie, David co-starred in "Bird on a Wire", the big budget Mel Gibson/Goldie Hawn film. The makers of "Future Force" thought so highly of the movie, they scheduled the filming of the sequel "Future Force 2" before the original was released. Carradine had a three week break while filming "Bird on a Wire", so they shot "Future Force 2" during those three weeks.

I think that the emblem on the back of his vest was meant to be an homage to what was embroidered on Cain's gi, in the King Fu pilot episode. Except Cain was never drunk, nor did he need a lighting blasting power glove and more than one high caliber revolver. It's funny how so many of these movies depict a horribly dystopian future in the 90's or early 2000's that have never actually come to fruition.

something detail wise I actually really liked about this film, and still do, is that during the final quickdraw you can see that David fires from an awkward hand position during the end of the drawing motion- essentially offhandedly without levelling the gun completely. This is a remarkably realistic/unstylized depiction of a skilled quickdraw in practical use for a D.A. Prior film with a Laser Glove in it. Someone must've stepped in and had Prior's ear for that scene, maybe the armorer or even Carradine himself from his time on Shane or the other westerns he worked on in the 60's and 70's.

DC the bounty hunter, love the hand on the back of the jacket. You can guarantee that he was really drinking in the bar scene. Those beers were good gents as they had quite the effect on you both. Doing DC as cosplay would be so funny, especially with the funky foam glove. Thanks guys

0:56 uh-HUH. Good to know. ABV? 8:30 'You had one mic....ONE MIC....!' 24:47 Remember: movies and TV shows aren't shot in sequence; hence, Carradine's changes in line-reading (and the occasional continuity issues, if the production company aren't Here For the Party)... 29:56 Why? Because his surname ( 29:37) is 'PARKE'. 😂😂 30:52 L.A. IS 'SOUTHERN California', after all! :D 31:02 ;D 35:17 Snake Glove / Power Pisskin...

This was probably the most entertaining episode you guys have done, but only because I enjoyed listening to you guys tear it apart. Kudos to Brian wearing the Viper T-shirt. One of my favorite TV shows from the 90s.

The guy Carradine remote-rocketpunched was Robert Tessier! He was the go-to for a big bad dude (heroic or villainous) for about twenty-five years; I swear I saw him in everything, like Al Leong. And he was, in fact, Mr. Clean for a lot of years! Formed Stunts Unlimited with Hal Needham, too.

The female lead was not in the finale as a hostage or "damsel in distress" as you suggested because her agent got a peek at the dailies and was outraged that they were having her DWI around LA with David Carradine for almost the entirety of her screen time. So Pryor wrote her out of the finale and was only able to get her to return for 90 seconds of denouement by promising that she would get to pour Carradine into the "drinker's side" and do the driving herself drive in any driving scene. I have no idea if any of that is true but it's my chosen head-canon for this film and I challenge anyone to find any evidence to refute it. Carradine is telling no tales and Anna Rapagna left acting after this movie. Considering that in her previous movie, she had to work with a baboon and a man got his head run over by a 3-Wheeler, I don't blame her.

I hope you will watch the sequel FUTURE ZONE 1990…. I believe the grey box Tucker uses at the end to control the robot hand is a clear-Com box for a headset. Outside of the writing on it they did nothing to it . The button he is pushing is the call button. The little knob is volume control.

@@JasonBrant It is what I've heard, via rifftrax watchers. Same with Space mutiny and cyborg cop 2. I wish I had a reference for you but it's something to do with the Action International Pictures people. On that note, take a look at the symbols for the ship on the crew of the space mutiny ship 'southern sun': kinda... lightning bolt looking...
