Lovely thoughts and dialogue from the time when things really mattered. Strange that at 7:40 David describes the atmosphere that begat The Manson Family. A Time also when radio was sincere and committed. Giving David free reign. Blessings and gratitude to you who posted this clip.

I posted this when I first saw it had been uploaded, a few years ago: I was thrilled to find this interview up on KZbin. I recorded it on my reel-to-reel, with a mic in front of my AM only clock radio. I was 18 years old. It was kindly copied from my reel to a cassette for me in 1991 (or so) by the late Ted Alvy. I've been looking for the original reel but haven't found it yet. I'm pretty sure Ted gave it back to me...but it has been 21 [now 25] years. Back then, I duped about a dozen cassettes and sent them to people to spread around. Hope y'all enjoy it!

He does not sound that way at all, unless you are a fool. He just sounds like an idealistic young man with big aspirations for himself and humanity. It was the hippie thing., I guess you never heard of hippies?

Messiah complex? You mean thoughts on bettering the human condition? That was a big part of the hippie movement. Dig?
