*to be clear* : What seth said was NOT consent. You can’t consent to something 4 months in advance, especially not knowing what it is youre consenting too. what david (and scotty in his video) was doing, was trying to divert the conversation in hopes of getting some of the heat off of them and victim blaming seth in the process. The fact david hasn’t PROPERLY apologized for not only seths assault/trauma , but ALSO saying the n-word, homophobia slurs, etc. says a lot about his character and where his real values lie. You would be willing to take more shit bc of the benefits. David used his clout and power to belittle his friends. He is not a nice guy. Bro David is a literal immigrant minority, just because his parents world their asses off for David to have a good life, yes David has done some bad things and he should be held accountable, but like no one would be friends with him if the stuff be posted back then was really “that bad” especially when most of the people “victims” ask or want to be on the videos, he’s a entertainer who him, his friends, and his fans know he does stupid things for vlogs, they all know he does pranks, it’s so dumb that now pranks and jokes to his own friends aren’t even allowed anymore. If they are uncomfortable, they should speak out right after not years after when David is actually blowing up. David does so much for his friends and they’re family in a way. Insults and jabs at each other are normal. If you really think all this is him REALLY hurting others, then consider canceling every comedian who had friends of other races because they joke about each other but it’s all good in the end because they’re in the same entertainer scene, in the comedy scene, you trying to take an insult that David has said to many of his friends, minorities or not, you can’t leave out the insults he dishes out on the people who aren’t of color. They all make fun of each other and just because David is the most popular of them all, it shouldn’t mean that all of his jokes and pranks a crime, even when he wasn’t as popular he would make a few jokes to people much bigger than him. Like cmon.
@xxcallmeniaxx32723 жыл бұрын
@@jasoncruz9413 1. Him being an immigrant doesn't mean he is free from criticism. Him being an immigrant doesn't mane he is allowed to belittle different races and in actuality it means nothing in this discussion. 2. As mentioned in the video many people that later spoke up against him felt as though they couldn't speak out without getting hate, which was proven to be true. You couldn't say hey bro I dont like that if you know that your entire platform would turn against you. What you are trying to do is make it seem like its just goofing between to friends, but that is not the case they were in front of millions of people so the victims were forced into silenced or risked social exile. 3. You do not have the right to tell someone when they are meant to speak up. People will speak up when they feel safe, not when its convenient to you. 4. I dont know what type of family situation you have but if my sister called me a slur i wouldn't laugh, if my brother used a common stereotype agaisnt me I wouldn't laugh. Perhaps racism, sexism, and homophobia is cool in you house but that is not universal so comparing David's friendships to a family is odd and tone deaf co sidering the number of people saying how toxic it was. 5. Not every other comedian has said racial slurs as a punchline, or sexually assaulted a friend as a prank. So no thats not the comedian scene. 6. Even then, minimize, manipulate, shift blame, lie.. make up.. whatever it takes to GET or get OUT of, period. No conscience required I guess. Again, sorry only for what is finally at risk... As someone who started watching David's videos at a young age (14) I can 100% say that I was completely blinded and tricked into believing that everything wrong with david and the vlog squad was ok. There are TONS of young and impressionable kids and teens that watch David's videos and see the misogyny, see the homophobia, see the racism, etc and believe that it is ok because their idols act like it's ok when it is not. It is crazy how so many things were swept under the rug and hidden away from the public that when it finally came out no one could believe it because they couldnt believe that their idol would do something like that. Now do I believe that david and his friends are bad people? Yes and no. I believe that people can change but I also believe that some people are ignorant enough to ignore the importance of change. Scotty for example: He has a controversial past with saying some bad things but he took accountability and apologized. However David also has a controversial past and still hasnt really apologized for it. What's the point to this? Well Scotty has changed and David hasnt (well not that much anyway). I think that's why people are still so focused on "cancelling" David. Now I dont think that canceling works and I dont agree with cancel culture at all. They lose focus of what's important and try to cancel anyone in their sights. However I do think that David ABSOLUTELY should be held accountable for what he has done and what he continues to do. Like I said David has young and impressionable fans who are willing to look past his wrong doings simply because they dont know any better (which is exactly what I did). David needs to stop, hold himself accountable, and apologize for what he had done before he ends up causing more damage then he already has.

the hat jason wears and how he wears it while hanging with the kids gives me "How do you do, fellow kids" vibes

Thats the whole point, he's trying to be young, cuz those young kids are blowing up. And the running joke is that Jason nash will do anything for fame/money

what i find rlly weird after watching this video and seeing her point out is how like... slick they try to be??? bc it’s like okay if you notice that he’s acting like that for that purpose specifically, he’ll play it off as a joke! like he’s just doing it as a character thing!! and it’ll be seen as more acceptable as he keeps doing it... which is just what happened like so much throughout the vlogs and is what is fucking me up so much bc it just seemed ok. like the “haha omg that’s fucked up!!! lmfao!!!!” and continuing to do whatever...

That's jason's entire vibe 😂 it's kinda trisha's vibe a bit too but she pulls it off better bc she's....not 47

2 things- #1: a part 2 to this with everything that’s come out after this video was made would be so good!! (ex. sponsors leaving david, his app being canceled, etc.) #2: you are SO good at explaining things so that it makes sense, but also with such good detail!! i watched your ace family video and then got recommended some guy talking about the same things, but yours compared to his was so much better and made so much more sense. you just have a really good way of putting everything together..

My biggest problem is like Seth having had a real SA experience and it’s David’s fault AND also have done not good things. I’ve known about Seth reposting the Revenge P0 for awhile and I still support him speaking up. 2 wrongs don’t make a right. Trisha has had a really hard life but she has also done some shitty things but that doesn’t mean she hasn’t gone through real shit.

also, how seth reacted to the pranks (then and now) is sorta irrelevant. for the first prank David didn’t KNOW how seth would react, yet still went ahead with it.

@@krisstr5141 but the thing is, beyond all their wrong doings... Dobrik waa still reponsable for uploading a video of Se*ual Assau*t to millions of people to see on youtube. A bunch, probably, impresionable teens that understood that this kind of "prank" is okay.

Yes it reminds me of the people that will go back into someone's history to see if they were arrested in the past when a cop murders them. Like it justifies it because they did a crime in the past. 😒 Same energy.

The fact is, those are two separate incidents. Just like people bringing up random issues Trisha had in the past, that doesn’t excuse DAVIDS wrongs.

I always think of the vlog where Dom was touching Corinna inappropriately without consent and David was just quietly filming and laughing even though she was genuinely pissed and repeatedly telling Dom to stop... it really showed me what kind of people these guys are.
