Thank you so much! I discovered you recently, and I am learning so much from your videos. This one makes me long for my childhood wanderings on the coast of Maine not far from this very spot. Such raw, pure beauty, who could not be inspired to paint such a place?🙂

It is just so beautifull - radiating aliveness, movements of light and dark and the rhytms of a spontaneity and the eternal flow of the embrace of Earth and Sky 💙🧡🩶

This is one of the best plain-air demos I've ever seen, and I own some good CD's of great artists. It really opened my eyes to how a long wide brush could be used to describe linear elements like waves and rock in addition to describing appropriate perspective. The history lesson us also excellent for the non academic like me.

You are awesome David. I just love the way you capture the essence of an artist. Your giant brushes and your sweeping strokes. You wipe away paint which is just as important as the paint you lay down. You are very inspiring. Thank you for these videos. I always look forward to them.

This wonderful. I love contrast of light in paintings. It is the light that moves me. So often I see professional demonstrations on KZbin and sometimes the painting was better before some of the details were added. Homer is one of my favorites.

I was looking online for tips on learning about homers paintings, and how to understand the art form more for a school project, and i found you! I am very thankful for the easy to learn lesson. I now find it very pleasing, and less stressful to do- and i can’t wait to start my project. Thank you! Your art looks incredible

Hi David. You mentioned you prepared the watercolor paper so that it would resist the paint and you can manipulate it. What are you treating the paper with? I imagine an acrylic medium of some sort? Do you worry this prevents the watercolor from adhering properly? Great videos and thank you,
