I am glad that this video was shared on KZbin. The same producers created series of artists documentaries at the time. Worth watching. Thanks

I've loved Homer's work since I was a child. I loved to look at the painting of the boys playing "Crack the Whip" in an art book of my parents when I was a child. This was a very nice documentary. Thanks for posting.

As clear, concise and unhurried review of the artist's work and life as any non specialist could want and quite unlike too many more recent presentations is not overproduced and cluttered by trivia and message. Not necessarily among my favorite artists, but a respectable talent nonetheless and worth the time spent looking at his painting; with the help of first rate narration.

Love his oils but I go gaga over his watercolors.

He is still considered the greatest American water colorist. His water colors show emotion the way a picture can never do.

Interesting if somewhat of an over romanticized story of the man who I believe was the the first or at least one of the first artists to bring French impressionism to the shores of American culture.
