Thanksgiving, 1996 or ‘97. We had a local FM station that began playing Christmas music early in the season. Among the selections they offered was this song. My sister had Turkey Day dinner at her house and she had this station playing as background music. At one point during the day, this song came on. My sister looked up, looked at me, and asked if I knew anything about the song. I regaled her, and, I found out later, others with my knowledge on it. She wondered how I knew all that and I stated I had the CD from the David Foster special. The one sad thing I had to report was that this version was no longer in print at that time. In any case, my sister said if anyone would know about this song, it would be me. I guess it didn’t hurt that while the song was playing I was “directing” the orchestra.
