IF IT CAN'T BE CLOSELY MONITORED IT NOT WORTH TAX PAYER MONEY. A POOR ATTEMPT AT SOMETHING GOOD BUT COMMUTERS DO NOT WANT TO USE BICYCLES.

The same problem exists in San Diego. The cops clear out ravines full of stolen bikes and scooters. They know exactly which homeless people are stealing and possessing them, but there are never arrests. The selling of bike parts (and pet theft also) all goes into fueling addictions. Simple solution: ENFORCEMENT. Throw them in jail or halfway houses with tight curfews, clean up the damn streets. Make it safer for the women, families, disabled, pensioners who live on the street simply because there is little suitable, safe, affordable housing available.
@PartnershipsForYou4 жыл бұрын
The main reason is because homeless people are usually mentally not well. You saw that toothless black guy smacking that guy's window. We need better mental health in this country.

@@Lyno10851 But, wouldn't you agree that the theft of a bike valued above $1000 should be a felony? But I think in the majority of these bike thefts is a prosecutor can not prove with out any reasonable doubt that the person stole the bike. The only crime that can be charged is "receiving stolen property" which used to be a felony but think the Prop 47 down graded this to the misd status. The County just needs to have teams out and about and recover their, oops, our tax paid property.
