As a 45 year old lifelong Celtics fan I've always thought as much. ... Not just because of being a fan, but because of consistently watching the Celtics play throughout his career. ... Even when the team wasn't that good Pierce always excelled. Especially during crunch time. Wish I could give the exact time area, but there was this one stretch of games where he was out of his mind. Locked in. ... Believe he actually got injured that season. Maybe even right after the stretch I'm thinking on. Anyways, Pierce was a DOG. Could get off his shot against anyone. ... Is unfortunate it's mostly those of us who watched him that truly know. ... Heck, I watched em play more back when Pierce played & weren't that good than I do nowadays during this Tatum era. ....
