terrible manager. Only did well because he had so much money to spend. Anyone could do well with that.

He spent £100 million and won nothing, he was a failure for us. But not all of it was fault, it wasn’t his fault for amount of money we paid for some of the players we signed such as Rio, Seth Johnson, Robbie Keane and Robbie Fowler. David should get the blame for demoting Eddie, falling out with the players and the results and performances getting worse in his last season in charge. Peter Ridsdale should get the blame for the amount of money we paid for the players we signed. David was only asked who he wanted to sign and told them who to sign, but he didn’t ask the club to make these ridiculous offers for these players such as Johnson, Fowler, Keane and Rio. Peter Ridsdale made these stupid offers for the players we signed. Some of money we were paying these players was ridiculous as well. For example, we paid £7 million for Seth Johnson and we were paying him £37,000 for a player that didn’t many games for us.

the game may have been completely different, if the ref or linesmen for that matter, noticed that he used his arm!

Leeds United enjoyed a remarkable run in the UCL that season; however, despite Juan Sanchez's contentious opening goal, they were decisively defeated by a Valencia team, which Des Lynam described as a 'class act' with UCL pedigree. Alan Smith's late dismissal only underscored the difficult evening for Leeds.

If Juan Sanchez’s goal was disallowed for hand ball and if lee bowyer wasn’t suspended, we would’ve won this game. We got well and truly robbed.

Even with the goal being disallowed in the second leg, Leeds had no grounds for complaint as Valencia beat them comfortably.

@@classicsportclassictiyl8547 The better team won on the night and that was Valencia.

@@harrymonk770 You're right, Leeds had a brave run to get as far as they did, but as Des Lynan summed it up, they were soundly defeated by a side with serious UCL pedigree and were indeed a class act.
