Likewise! I discovered Parsons at a store called "Only New Age Music" [what do you expect from LA?] on Melrose back in the very early 90s. I like Yatra, but Himalaya and the 2 David Sylvian/ Holger Czukay collaborations are among my all-time favorites for this type of music.

an early work, yet one of his best. perhaps one of the best Space Music albums. a supreme experience at altitude. if you like this album, you will almost certainly like Tibetan Plateau. i would also recommend Yatra. Sounds Of The Mothership, his first solo album, was recorded on a 4-track cassette deck, a Fostex i believe, and is interesting for the quality of sound he was able to achieve. also a fine album but an initial effort where he is just developing his sound. After Yatra, he began to diversify into greater emphasis on sturdy electronica sequences with hand percussion.
