@@LukaGreat98 all left handed almost. common sense to get the best d-man possible if they really didn’t want michkov. leonard and reinbacher’s ceiling isn’t that different so since we already have literally 5 lines of offense might as well invest in defense. edmundson & wideman are definitely leaving anyway. you can never have too many D-man prospects as it’s the hardest position to get a good player at **after goalie.

I know many Canadiens fans don’t like this pick but I think it was a perfect one. Has lots of potential from what I’m seeing on here, really excited for this guy. Can play alongside Hutson and be a nice compliment. Needs some good development and I’m rooting for reinbacher!!

I looked this up a while ago so I could be wrong… but I think there’s only been one time ever where the first defenseman went off the board outside the top 10 and I think that was 1983? Maybe it was 1993 or something but point is, idc where he ranks, he’s going top 10.

I had read that somewhere as well...but this draft has so many great forwards, it would take one hell of a D to make it into the top 10 or a team that really needs a D to make that pick!

I think he's pushing for the Top-D to be selected. He's going to try out for the Austrian team for the World Championships, so if he makes the team and plays well there, it could definitely increase his stock.

Keeping on the high-risk / high-reward track, with D-men, I have been looking a little deeper at the guys who may not be defensive studs, but have offensive numbers rocketing off the stats sheets. In particular, the 2 guys I was looking at were: Étienne Morin, Moncton Wildcats, and Lukas Dragicevic, Tri-City Americans. Do you have a feeling about either? Cheers!

Both have great offense, but both are suspect defensively. One of those things where it depends on who selects them and if that team has the developmental capacity to improve their defensive game. If that's the case, then watch out a few years down the line! Think of Evan Bouchard.

I guess I'm wondering, will they make the NHL at all, while even if they don't develop defensively, they stay on at least as PP specialists (like a Mike Green, hahahaha: He was -79 over the last 9 seasons of his career, but somehow, he kept getting contracts, due to his offensive capabilities.)

With their recent hot streak the Vancouver Canucks have been falling down the Draft board while Reinbacher is Climbing the Draft Board. Everyone knows Vancouver covets a Right Shot Defenseman in the draft. Maybe Reinbacher and the Canucks meet in the middle.

I was originally hoping the Nucks would draft Reinbacher with the Islanders pick when they still had that pick and the Islanders looked to finish around 13-15 worst team. I definitely did not want the Nucks to drafdt Reinbacher with their top 6 pick (when Nucks were around bottom 5). Now, it looks like Nucks will draft 11th so Reinbacher at that spot would be good too. Stupid management and ownership ruined our chances at any of Bedard, Fantilli and completely ruined our chances at Carlsson, Mickov, Benson and Smith... Maybe Reinbacher could be a super hidden gem (around the 11th spot).

Going to be a really good top 4 D. Won't put up huge point totals, but will be a strong defender that can start the breakout and will chip in some offense. I'd consider him with the Blues pick at 10.

Blue Jackets have a lot of young D in their prospect pool. Hard to say who they select, but you never know....the NHL Draft always comes with lots of surprises!

Some people have him ranked in the late 1st😵‍💫 NL league is full of former NHL & KHL players. We can see how under scouted this league really is when people don’t factor in how good the competition really is. Simon Nemec went 2nd overall after a good year in the [Slovakian league] which is a much weaker league than NL. Only thing that keeps Reinbacher this low is that he is from Austria.

He honestly may be the first D selected at this draft. He has all the qualities NHL teams love in a defenseman. I think it will depend on how the lottery ends up and whether or not that team needs a D (and if they need an offensive D) or forward. So many variables at play. Can't wait!

Detroit is in the market for RHD since the departure of Hronek, but their scoring needs are so much greater. Wallinder is a LHD that plays RHD so they have sort of a plan ready to go, but who knows. Two Austrians for Detroit would be interesting, Kasper and Reinbacher.

@@jleif7736 This draft is the perfect scenario for both needs which is rare for RHD and RHC availability . After Reinbacher you still have plenty of choices: 3 RHD with Sandin Pellikka, Dragicevic, and Bonk. as for RHC, Yager, Ritchie, Donaldson, and Stramel. So as well as LW depth the Red Wings should not be trading any picks and gaining traction for filling critical system needs.

Good overall defenseman, but as a Blues fan I hope we don't take him with our first round pick. With the talent of all the forwards, even though defense is Blues biggest need, I'd rather get best available. Cristall, Sale, Dvorsky, crossing my fingers if Blues could move up a Benson or will Smith would be awesome.

I have some worries about him, dosent use his size as well as he could and he’s a bit of a one trick pony offensively as he’s pretty much exclusively a passer as his shot isnt all that accurate most of the time, id still take ASP over him for sure

I see similarities to Jiricek for sure! Jiricek may have more offensive upside, but Reinbacher has a cannon from the point. I think depending on the team...Reinbacher or Sandin Pellikka will the first D selected.

He’s like a 2nd pairing defensemen at best but to me more likely a super good 3rd pairing defensemen which with his size and overall good playing skills is great so I’d say probably in the early 20’s. If he starts driving the play more he be an awesome addition.

If you make mistakes in a pro league as a 18 year oId you ain’t playing. You have to play a simple game: Moritz Seider is a good example. If Reinbacher played against junior competition, we’d likely see more skill out of him. I know he played with Austria U20, but he can’t carry a team by himself.

Sandin-Pellikka, Gulyayev & Simashev are all better (D’s) than him imo. He reminds me a lot of Philip Broberg in 2019. Big, skates well. But doesn’t really make anything happen offensively. Also. There’s so many good forwards in the upcoming draft… I wouldn’t waste a top15 pick (Even top20) On him. REMINDER : Oilers took Broberg when guys like ZEGRAS & CAUFIELD were still on the board.

Reinbacher's game is much more complete than Broberg's in my opinion. Broberg was really just an elite skater. Reinbacher defends really well, is physical, and I think still has a lot of untapped offensive potential. Really hoping my Habs snag him in the top 10.
