Wonderful music from one of Coppola's greatest films. Certainly on of Gene Hackman's greatest performances. A true classic in every way.

Undoubtedly a brilliant score to an outstanding film of its time ! A NB do a stand-out performance from Gene Hackman. bettered only IMHO, maybe, by his portrayal of a badass FBI investigator in the late Alan Parker's masterpiece ' Mississippi Burning' ...RIP Alan Parker, and John Lewis !...

Miriam Berman Well said and we'll get through this. I saw this movie during the summer of Watergate and Nixon and realized that a lot of America mirrored Nixon. So it shouldn't be a surprise that a lot of people went nativist and reactionary.

I hate these "extended" themes that are actually just the normal theme repeated a few times.
@αλώβητοςκανένας6 жыл бұрын
but it's silly to *hate* something like this. who cares. extended, looped or whatever. it's music. except you are a "verbal jingoist", a funny thing (verbally of course) to assume.
@officialgoogleyoutube6 жыл бұрын
Right, maybe hate is the wrong word. I don't like them because they're deceptive. It promises one thing and gives you another. Plus, it's utterly pointless. Anyone can loop the theme a few times. I don't know if you've monetized the video (probably not, considering the content), but either way, it's just a dumb thing to upload. Also, what do you mean by "verbal jingoist?" A jingoist is an excessive patriot, not someone who exaggerates. Sure, I utilized some hyperbole, but that has nothing to do with my feelings towards my country.
@αλώβητοςκανένας6 жыл бұрын
Wow, dude. I'm not in the mood for a lecture. Ι am playing Capcom Classics on my old PS2 right now. Just go watch some old Simpsons episodes. And feel whatever you want with all those dorky, vainful, pointless and SEDUCTIVE extended uploads in KZbin. Dislike, hate, rage, scorn, anything. Otherwise, I found the "monentized" verb very funny. I just like listening to instrumental pieces of music over and over again (without discontinuous voids). I guess thousands of other people do. As for the "jingoist" thing, I utilized some figurative hyperbole. Stop being that literal.
@officialgoogleyoutube6 жыл бұрын
What about using the word "jingoist" was hyperbolic? It doesn't apply in any sense. Now, my intent here is not to blast you. I don't know who you are. I just don't like "extended" versions of songs. My question for you is, do you, or have you ever, made ad revenue off of this video? The only reason I can think of for somebody to post this video is for monetary reasons. You can put any version of the song on loop. I came to the video hoping for a longer version of the song, made by David Shire, or even someone else, and I got a repeat. That's why it perturbed me. I just don't get it.
@αλώβητοςκανένας6 жыл бұрын
"I came here for a longer version made by David Shire, and I got fucked!" I just made a new High Score at Commando (1985)! A "verbal jingoist" have a similar complexion to a "grammar nazi". Your problem seemed verbal, as the word "extended" was your very problem from the beginning . If inside the brackets was something like "Looped Version" you 'd be uninfected. It would actually sound more pertinent, I give you that. But anyway your obsession with somehing so meaninless is kind of... grotesque. Hyperbole is the embezzlement of the day.( Damn! I just used the word embezzlement in arbitary way, he' ll type sentences until Thursday.)
@clannon8833 Жыл бұрын
This isn't actually an extended version, it's just clipping the standard length song together a few times. Very lazy and low effort.
