I fondly remember all those Saturday evenings watching Starsky and Hutch and all the weeks that this song was played on TOTP's. The friendship between Starsky and Hutch always reminded me of the series Alias Smith and Jones and interaction of the two main characters. RIP David.

Well huge thanks for that! There is definitely nothing wrong with some self indulgence 😊 So many memories for me, the song the meaning, Starskey and Hutch and Indpector Dobie and Huggie. He really had that charisma and remember him being on Swap Shop, yes another blast from the past, when the song was in the chars, and he kinda had it all. It was sad that he experienced such dark times in his life, and without them who knows! Remember feeling nostalgic when I heard of his death, and end of another kind of era, and can see how it had that effect on you. Great choice and reaction as always 😊

Hello gpreactions, how are you, my friend? I hope you are doing well and that you're having a good week. I remember watching _'Starsky & Hutch'_ when I was a kid. Every now and again, I watched a few episodes a few years ago and it was really cool to re-visit those times in my mind. I totally agree with you on how certain deaths affect us. For me, when certain artists, actors, musicians etc. that I love pass away, it really affects me. I suppose it's due to the bond that forms with some people, even though it's a fictional bond. Sometimes, these people have brought so much enjoyment, peace and happiness to our lives that, when they pass, it's almost like losing a part of you. We form a connection with them to our past that is readily accessble when we see or hear them. We can remember times, places, people, events so easily just by a tune or a film, a TV show. I also agree that when people like that pass, things just seem a bit more hopeless and grim. My world seems to get dimmer and dimmer and it feels like total darkness is slowly encroaching upon me. Someday, I might wake up and find that all I loved and cherished is now spoken of in the past tense cause they no longer exist. Again, I hope you are doing well and that this year s better for both of us than these past ones. Greetings from the West Texan desert. Take care and stay safe...

Thank you. Yup, let's make this year a good one. I truly believe that we are as one with everything around us and as such everything gets a return. Positive vibes to you for the rest of the year.

Hi gp. What a lovely song. So sad and in a way soothing. Takes me right back to a cosy Sunday night when all i had to worry about was school in the morning. Wish you all the love x

Do you remember the two parters when one or other was shot and dying 😂? True partners. Like most cops back in the day. Mathis song was very Christmassy 😂🎉.I was 8 in 76😢❤

Liked the tv show but not his music at the time. later listened again as an adult and did like his stuff. probably didn't like it when young because all the mums did🤣 hate losing people you liked growing up.

I heard that one million people in the U.K. died of sudden death during the past year, 1,000 a week. (U.S.A.)
