@@user-ei2je5oy7x So so true. Like to have the kind of money to spend on this stuff while you have people living in the streets. I'm by no means poor, I have a decent job. A nice home, food on my table, nice clothes, a bit of spending money, but I still think about each big spending decision. Things like "do I really need that new game console". A decently middle road life. But there are literal people living in the streets dying of starvation. And there are people who have the choice to spend over $700,000 on a necklace. The gap between the top and the bottom is too wide. It's disgusting. It makes me feel physically ill.
@victoriaeads61263 ай бұрын
In a lower cost of living area, that money will buy two or three pretty nice houses, or one insanely huge house on a horse farm. With horses. I live in a fairly expensive area, and we have a small amount of acreage, and that necklace would pay off my mortgage with about 6 figures left over. Meanwhile, the next county over is in the next state, and there that necklace would buy at least three houses like ours.

I have bought handmade jewelry for many years on Etsy using these exact gem stones and 18k gold, the materials are NOT this price and you can find much more beautiful hand crafted pieces for a tiny fraction of the price. Yup I wonder too, who is this for, because you pay for the designer and thats it. I understand the joy of having real gemstone jewelry, but again it does NOT cost this much

What I find interesting is that people pay these prices for what looks like 60s and 70s costume jewelry. If I had that type of money I'd buy the costume jewelry equivilent and bank the rest. Once again you prove that having the ability to spend these amounts of money does NOT mean you have anything even close to taste. Love you to bits!!!!

If something is mostly made of gold or platinum and expensive gems: yes, materials are a huge component, but as someone that has done jewellery school: the workmanship is not the excuse for those outrageous prices, you don't work for an entire year non stop on these pieces, these are marked up INSANELY, they're Veblen goods, methinks
@splendidcolorsСағат бұрын
I know jewelers too and there is no way the labor added to the materials for those pieces justifies those prices. Any more than the labor that goes into one of those darn Birkin bags justifies them costing more than a car.

You're right. Most of those looked like bad 80s, gaudy costume jewelry. I also don't understand the whole concept of "designer" jewelry. If the purpose of buying it is to show off how rich you are, there aren't any labels to know that with... PS having a microphone closer to your face would help it. another time maybe try to put it on the strap of your shirt/dress? then it wouldn't feel so in the way for you either. :)

You can get EVENING GOWNS for less!!!! 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ You could honestly just download that game (and never play it) just to find crazy overpriced designers to make fun of on your channel. You unfortunately can't sort things by price, but you can scroll through them by category.
