Lately I have had great momentum in my battle with lust. I believed in Jesus Christ since 2012, but I always fell and stumbled. I think the reason I did was because in my heart of hearts I probably didn’t really believe. I did not experience the presence of God quite as strongly as I do now. And that has been the very thing that has helped me to stay pure: constantly seeking the face of God, inviting in His presence. I think I avoided doing that because it was scary to consider getting that close to Him but it’s the only real way to fight sin. Sexual sin often is easy to fall into because it is secret. Who’s looking? One has to convince themselves that the eyes of the Lord are upon them. Seeking the face of God has been very helpful for me, but I try to stay humble in this because ultimately it is the Lord’s righteousness and not mine. Other areas of my life that need improving God will bring to my attention but lust for now has been the biggest battle of my life, and I could not even begin to battle it without the Lord’s help.

A constant battle for me. I shall be glad when I'm free from this body of sin. In the mean time I think of Job who 'covanted with his eye' not to look upon a maid. How often I fail there. I prayed for years for God 'grant me repentance' 2 Tim 2:25 and He has even though I've backslid very badly. Thank you Jesus but it's an ongoing war.

Thats why Jesus had to die for us we sin everyday even unkowingly all that God made perfect has been corrupted by the fall but if you believe and trust what Jesus did for YOU He will make you born again and there will be a new man in you but the new man will fight with the old man (sinful nature)

That verse you qutoted remains a mystery to me in the sense of we are saved by grace through faith but Jesus is saying if we dont cut off certain things we will go to Hell is that not works ? Someone help me out im not saying I want to sin at all by the way I dont but im trying to understand the passage if a Christian struggles in this area will they go to Hell ?

That is why Jesus also told us that if we love Him, we will keep his commandments. We will "cut off" those things not for the sake of just merely following the law, but because we love him. It is like when our parents when we are young they often tells us to not do certain thinga, and we listen, one because we fear punishment but also because we love them and we do not want them to be disappointed.

Repent and try your best not to sin again. Just ask for forgiveness

You have confessed and you are forgiven. Guilt and condemnation come from Satan, because he doesn't want you to get back on track with God. Satan likes to keep you feeling guilty, because when you feel guilt you can't trully worship God. Satan is super deceiving. Read scripture about forgiveness, have faith and trust in the Lord. Fear of consequences isn't the right motivation for stopping. When you love God you won't sin. Fall in love with God, He died to have relationship with you.

The very fact that you ask this is a work of His Spirit on your conscience, toward greater holiness. All temptation to sin is a lie that you're not already experiencing the glories of God in salvation for all eternity. Once you grab hold of the truth of Christ, and how it literally applies to you, your mind will recoil at the temptation for sexual sin. And there should be great happiness and peace of mind that comes from this. Cause its all the grace of God.

You can't do it in your own strength it has to through the new covenant of grace the covenant that was cut from outside of ourselves! Forget self effort look to Christ who knew no sin Who became sin for us on the cross so in Him we have become the righteousness of God. Focus on your permanent imputed righteousness and sin that so easily entangles will drop off!

Be baptized in Holy Spirit to give you victory over the flesh. Keep your eyes off of R rated movies. Even the PG13 movies are bad. Watch out even on the computer. I've noticed when I don't watch these I don't even think about it. More importantly stay in the Word of God...meditate on it. I'm older now and single and don't have much desire to even be in a relationship. Jesus is my Lord and source of life. I realize if I stumble in this area I could get an STD and that's appalling to me. I have a high regard for sex being exclusive to marriage as scripture indicates. However if I were to stumble I know I have an advocate with the Father and can confess it and receive forgiveness. Use self stun when necessary but I don't think this should be a habit either of open or wrong thinking is involved. Already know that He loves you and will help overcome and even when you make a mistake or sin He will never leave or forsake you.

Getting married is the solution, but there’s a lot you have to do before that can happen. Getting into a relationship and getting married requires an exorbitant amount of money. It’s almost impossible to accumulate that kind of cash even if you do have a decent job. The reason marriage and having children is in free fall is due to the legacy of economic carnage after 16 years of Bush and Obama.

The remedy for lust is - if you are a male spend a few dollars and hire a nice call girl for a few hours, you will love it. If you are a female go to anywhere the action is, a bar, a dance or somewhere males congregate and set about making friends with the best looking guy around, then take him home and have some fun, it works for me.
