Paul was not Jesus. Nor is Paul God. Nor was Paul Moses. Nor was Paul charged with writing the Ten Commandments. Paul was speaking to the Corinthians regarding the times they were living in at that moment. Correct? Yes. Paul was explaining that during those times it would be much easier to ONLY be responsible for ones self - not ones self plus a spouse. Do not twist words. There is a verse about doing that and it's very clear! God is a loving God and life happens. To pretend otherwise is a spell brought on by the enemy to put people into bondage.

Put away means separation. If you are separated then you must get a divorce because if you don't then you're committing adultery. The meaning of adultery is hijacked by bondage preachers. The meaning is pretty clear - it's when a married person sleeps with someone they are not married to. If you are remarried and you're sleeping with only your spouse, that is not adultery. Not unless you're a better than thou baptist preacher who is trained by the enemy to create bondage that keeps people out of church due to wrongly being labeled with that wicked word.

Whosoever separates from his wife and marries another commits adultery. That law is still true today - no? Apoluo and apostasion are not the same words and they do not have the same meaning. One means divorce. The other means separate. No other verses that use the two words "put away" mean divorce now do they? No - they mean to separate from.

What about the spouse who sins against his wife with porn and narcissistic personality traits of coercive control, manipulation, gaslighting, etc. If porn is considered adultery most of the church has grounds for divorce. The church hardly speaks on this topic and so those engaged in this lifestyle habit skip about life unchallenged. How does one stay united with a narc who is engaged in this and the resulting loveless marriage? The psychological damage done to the other spouse is horrific. The church can’t put the institution of marriage above the sanity of the individuals in the marriage. 2Tim 3 has the answer.

It So basic as you say. Take it back to the beginning. “ a man leaves his father and mother”. My narcissistic husband never left his parents. He used them to continue the family narcissistic abuse towards me and our children. He isolated me and then the family patterns continued. “They shall become one flesh”. In a narcissistic relationship there is only one person considered; the narcissist. The narcissist loves to borrow power from religious foundations and twist the truth of Gods Holy Word to fit the narcissistic agenda. Sound like anyone you have heard of? Who lurks around and looks for new supply so that he can ruin their lives, by stealing, killing, destroying? Sounding familiar? That was my 25 year situationship. I prayed. I counselled. I tried to love. It nearly destroyed me until I was just about broken and then God supernaturally gave me a vision. That was confirmation that I was not to remain in that abusive relationship. I have a year of good counselling behind me and 4 years out of the presence of the narc. Divorce is very painful when divorcing a narc. They have to win at all costs and they make you pay for not continuing to give them good supply. Unless you understand narcissism this won’t make sense. God has delivered me out of this terrible treatment and has restored my faith and beginning to restore my internal resources that the narc tried to destroy. There is no surviving this horrific abuse. The only answer is to leave.

Now I tell you something , the Bible also says that if a man looks at another woman other than his wife with lust in his heart desire for her in his heart he’s guilty of adultery has already committed it with her in his heart . Now take just for example my first husband four years into our marriage asked me for my permission to go out and have himself an affair with anyone he would so choose to . I had not had any affair , had not lied to him or anyone had not stolen from anyone ever at any time did not smoke drink do drugs swear I was totally true to him having given him no justifiable reason at all to ever even ask me this . He also left me moved in an lived with another woman for two years then kicked me and our children out of our home leaving all of us homeless and took back our home for himself an the other woman then filed for divorce from me and married her . Then later on top of that lost that home and asked me to co-sign a loan for him to get another home with the other woman . Which would be their home not mine . And I did sign not for him or her but for the sake of my own innocent children so they would have a place where they could go an stay with an visit with their father so hey could know an have a relationship with their father . And yet I was labeled the adulteress an I had not committed adultery . I had also found a letter in my husbands bedroom drawer from a friend he went to the police academy with stating all kinds of Filthy things about yet another woman they had both been with in school in that academy while we were married , an things they had done with her an talking filth about her body etc . He’d kept that letter saved it in his drawer which he knew I would clean out an I would then see that letter and be destroyed by it . He did that to me on purpose knowing it would devastate me emotionally an destroy me . But I was the adulteress ? Well I love God an I do not blame God or Jesus never have never will . But I do not believe men are justified with no fault in this just because they are men and that I am totally at fault just because I’m a woman ! Can you really say this was justified really ? If you can you’re very sick .

Jesus said, "except for fornication (meaning sexual immorality, and idolatry!)" ...otherwise the man and/or the woman commit adultery if they remarry; and if they marry another, and obviously they divorce again, then come back together in marriage to the same person, it is an abomination (Deutronomy 24:1-4). Paul is not saying if you are loosed from a wife it's not a sin to marry...to"marry" or to "remarry" (1Cor 7:28) ...Paul would be contracting Jesus if he implie ... 'if you are loosed from a wife it's not a sin to marry.' ... what then is the difference of the Pharisees, out of lust for the flesh, to allow remarriage and label it Mosaic Law? The only way to be "loosed" is fornication or death. Even if an unbeliever leaves and the believer is no longer bound to that unbeliever "legally", but the believer is bound to God "spiritually" and unless "fornication or death" the believer otherwise if remarried would commit adultery. We can split hairs and talk about "spiritual death" and "physical death" and who is "dead" in the eyes of God too. Because their are some who will say the unbeliever leaving is "spiritually dead" in Gods eyes so this releases the believer to remarry because death has now occurred. Yikes! It is better to remain unmarried than gamble the blink of an eye in time (compared to an eternity separated from God) committing adultery if a believer remarries after being divorced for other than fornication and death.

@@christopherjordan6237 How is there adultery without fornication and immorality? Deuteronomy 24 proves divorce and remarriage do not only end the marriage but forbids the return to their first spouse . Jesus said to look upon someone with lust is adultery. Jesus never stated if the person looking with lust was married and or single, it was simply adultery. There is no adultery without an action ie, look with lust, fornication, lustful thoughts. Jesus exposed the true morality of the laws God gave Moses. Please reference the scriptures where Jesus or any of his disciples told those remarried to divorce.

Make dad burn sure you personally ONE ON ONE, in person, get his side of the story before you side with the subordinate against her Superior. She may be in rebellion to him and under witchcraft. She may draw you into her witchcrafts...... .....ESPEEEEEECIALLY if she's attractive.

You are confused on what Jesus stated concerning divorce... Please do not attempt to make Jesus into a liar, and elevating yourself as truth. The rules are NOT the same from the man and the woman as you state or suppose. ALL Scripture concerning marriage specifically denotes the segregated rules for the man and the woman. The man by law was required to marry his brother's widow upon his death... regardless of how many wives he already had.... see Matt. 22. A woman was given no such liberty to have more than one husband while her husband (or ex) still lives. To suggest that the rules are the same for both genders only breeds confusion as so many false teachers attempt to twist Matt. 5:32 and the like.

The words "put away" are found numerous times in the Bible. Somehow those two words mean separation in every verse, except the verses about marriage/remarriage. In Matthew, the words apoluo and apostasion are mingled and anyone with half a brain would question a sentence such as: Anyone who divorces divorces. That makes no sense. But to say that anyone who separates should get a divorce before going off to marry a new spouse. THAT would make perfect sense! But get a divorce and get a divorce? That's basically what bondage preachers want us to believe (Matthew 5:31). They seem to forget that the word separation even exists. If you read the verses that are not about divorce or marriage then the two words "put away" mean to separate. Funny how the devil uses subtle devises to control people. It's no wonder why good people turn away from God when their marriage doesn't work out. God does not want us alone. He states in Genesis that man should not be alone. But baptist preachers are under a spell that they REFUSE to open their minds to. Churches could have every pew filled every Sunday if not for this deception - or as I've labeled it - BONDAGE!

Hey Damion it says we are forgiven and only judged by what we knew at the time. That Jesus doesn't remember our past transgressions and makes us new. The Bible is not the infallible word of God remember. Read revelation, and he had a name that nobody knew written on his thigh and His name was, the word of God. The Bible is a history book, a reference to learn yes. But Jesus gave his HS to have a personal relationship and counsel & deal with each person separately by their needs & destiny. Is David in hell? NO He committed adultery then had the man murdered and repented but still afterwards married Bathsheba. He was not considered to have been living in sin and that was said to be his only sin. Taking another man's wife. These guys really don't get it and don't understand scripture. If you truly pray and ask God He would tell you, but you have to truly be open and ask for truth no matter what it is. That's what I did because I was confused by everyone arguing over doctrine, which Jesus said do not argue over doctrine, traditions, or genealogies it's vain but hey people don't listen to that. So anyway I asked God sincerely and said I just want to know either way so I don't do wrong, that's all I care about and He revealed what I said to you earlier among other things. Everything depends on our heart. You can make mistakes, just do it Gods way now that u know better.

Abuse in Marriage people say there are gray areas what about abuse well the bible DOES talk about it! Why have we never seen this or our pastors talked about it? 1 Peter 2:18 Slaves, in reverent fear of God SUBMIT yourselves to your masters, not only to those who are good and considerate, but also to those who are HARSH. 19 For it is commendable if someone bears up under the PAIN OF UNJUST SUFFERING because they are conscious of God. 20 But how is it to your credit if you receive a beating for doing wrong and endure it? But if you suffer for doing good and you endure it, this is commendable before God. 21 TO THIS YOU WERE CALLED, BECAUSE CHIST SUFFERED FOR YOU, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps. 22 “He committed no sin, and no deceit was found in his mouth.”[e] 23 When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly. 24 “He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.” 25 For “you were like sheep going astray,”[f] but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls. 1 Peter 3 New International Version (NIV) 3 WIVES, IN THE SAME WAY submit yourselves to your own husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behavior of their wives, 2 when they see the purity and reverence of your lives. 3 Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. 4 Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight. 5 For this is the way the holy women of the past who put their hope in God used to adorn themselves. They submitted themselves to their own husbands, 6 like Sarah, who obeyed Abraham and called him her lord. You are her daughters if you do what is right and do not give way to fear. 7 Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers. 1 Peter 4:Living for God 4 Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because whoever suffers in the body is done with sin. God said you can separate but MUST REMAIN SINGLE OF BE RECONCILED!!

Won’t he first sit down and consider whether he is able with ten thousand men to oppose the one coming against him with twenty thousand? 32 If he is not able, he will send a delegation while the other is still a long way off and will ask for terms of peace. 33 In the same way, those of you who do not give up everything you have cannot be my disciples. Kingsley Knoxlar Abuse in Marriage people say there are gray areas what about abuse well the bible DOES talk about it!

@@are-you-awake-yet Unfortunately It’s not my Words but Gods who we will be judged by. God does not give that to us as an excuse to divorce. We have to add that to Gods Word which we know what they say about that. Marriage is a Holy COVENANT not a contract and God makes the marriage laws. We are to love the way Jesus loves us through abuse and being spit on and nailed to a cross. He does say you can separate for safety but not divorce. We are supposed to pray and fast and believe God in faith that he will change their hearts and open their eyes because it is not them we are fighting against but the demons inside them they have come into legal agreements with through sin and sin passed down from the mother and father as the Bible says. First sign of a Christian… you can cast out demons…Bible.

With all due respect...YOU ARE WRONG..SO WRONG!!! Your position that if extra-marital sex occurs, it is acceptable to divorce is very socially acceptable, however I defy you to back this with scripture. Your "opinions" will be of no value when standing before Christ. Granted, many people espouse the same "opinion", but again they are also wrong. Let's start honoring our Christ by following his directives without injecting our politically or socially correct "opinions. It's time to get serious with our Christianity. We already have plenty of so-called Christian's following their own version of a watered down christianity. Again, with all due respect.

Mike Berry Amen!! The exception for divorce is FORNICATION(Porneia) Not Adultery(Mocheia) which are used in the same sentence showing they are different Words. KJV!! Always compare to this. The exception is only in Matthew and not in Mark and Luke. Why? Because Matthew was written primarily for Jews understanding. Why because all gentiles were known to have sex before marriage(fornication), while Jewish women if had to provide proof they were virgins in that on the couple would hang the bed sheet out the house to show the blood covenant made by the rupture of the woman's hyum and if not she could be stoned to death if the father of the bride could not provide proof by bedsheet blood she was a virgin. How else do we know this? Only in Matthew do they use the kingdom of Heaven and Mark and Luke they use the Kingdom of heaven, Why?
