Heard the news it was quarter to seven and fifteen minutes later I was in the dark walking to catch my train, it was raining and I felt so alone and yes I panicked; People who know me well know how much I loved him and how much I miss him now, he was my elder brother and for decades I've looked at him as if he was my lighthouse; But what gives me peace tonight is to see how much he was loved and may he rest him peace, we are here gathered in a circle bringing warmth to each other.

I thank my dad in heaven for exposing me to Bowie as a kid. I still remember him explaining how Bowie wrote this song for Mott the Hoople. I remember when it was used in the movie Juno and all my friends acted like it was a new song.

Went to a David Bowie concert in the late 70's because someone gave me free a ticket. I'd heard of the guy but never really listened to his music. As soon as the show started I became an instant fan. Space Oddity -- yeah.

Though I'm nearly 60 (and I'd rather be 19 ), I was pleased to be around when he began. His music and personality grew up with time but his first albums are pure masterpieces and Ziggy Stardust and Halloween Jack brightened up my teenage life. 'God, I'm so pissed: I said 'Don't sing!!!!'. Haha

David Bowie's last public appearance in the UK. I had the privilege of seeing him twice live. First time in the 80s in Manchester on the Glass Spider tour then on my birthday 1990 at the National Bowl Milton Keynes on the Sound + Vision tour. Moral of the story is see artists when you can as they aren't going to be around forever. Much as we like to think they will be

It's hard for me to believe that this song was released in 1972 I was totally born in the wrong time period. I grew up listening to the music from the 1960s-1970s because it was what my parents listened to so I did as well. It's a shame that music isn't like this anymore the rock bands of the 1970's where the Gods of music world whose music will live on for an eternity. Today's music doesn't have shit compared to The Rock Gods of the 70's
