David’s single foot blasts are so metronomically linear. When blasting, I use two feet because I tend to drop in and out of time when blasting on the one foot. My fast double bass is super solid but, for me, the perfect time that my feet keep in unison doesn’t translate to a single foot blast (i.e.) my feet can’t seem to do solo what they achieve with ease together when each foot is playing in between the other’s notes. Edit : Must practice that more.

cognizance was in late October, obscura in December. but some of the material was written way before that, so all in all I had enough time to prepare well for both recordings
