Czarcie Kopyto pedals is a custom-made product. Murat Diril learned his craft working for Istanbul cymbals before linking up with Meinl in 2000 to develop their Byzance and MB20 series. Then in 2006 he worked with Paiste on its Twenty series. Thus, with 22 years' unique experience, Murat finally introduced his own cymbals.

The drums is what got me listening to metal in the first place. When I was a kid and had just started playing, the heaviest thing I'd ever been exposed to was Slipknot and it was the drums that impressed me more than anything. In fact, I can't say I loved this extreme stuff because at the time it sounded like a wall of noise. But once I started playing drums and could then actually hear what they were doing, I was like "whaaaaaaaaat!?" Eventually I just grew to absolutely love the genre and ended up putting together my own band.

He plays the best f****** pedals in the world, and the customer support is outstanding. One spring broke two days before a show, I wrote them an e-mail at 22:00 and the next day I had a new set of springs. There was a guy from the company, who drove to Austria to deliver the springs. We were just a small local band... And the pedals are beyond great. I played Iron Cobras, Deamon Drive, DW 9000, Axxis and Trick

6:30 I forget if it was George Kollias or Derek Roddy that introduced me to the idea that speed and control are effectively the same thing. It's easy to develop an extremely fast nervous twitch, but without the control to keep it in time, it just sounds like popcorn. This was maybe a decade ago, and it was something of a radical idea in the extreme metal drumming community back then. Seems like it sunk in!
