Hi Steve, from Suffolk UK you say about a black panther? We had one near Norfolk. I see it twice in 2 years the first time it jumped onto the road and onto the bank. The other side in front of my vehicle late at night and the other time I was feeding some goats for a friend out in the countryside in some old sheds and the panther was sitting on top of the tin roof watching. I didn't know it was there until the very last moment which really put the wind up me. and other people had seen it. Don't know what happened to it because people went out to try and shoot. It must have escaped from a private collection or something so it is possible what you saw?
