Wow! This put a smile in my heart and on my face. I love how the Lord explained this message through you and your excitement in sharing it. The beautiful effect of unified expectant prayer. How appropriate to hear this message on a day we are having a wind storm 🥰

I find it interesting that the Spirit came with the sound of a mighty rushing "wind." When Jesus talked with Nicodemus in John 3, that he likens the Spirit working in man to the wind. V. 3, "The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going; so is everyone who is born of the Spirit." We wait for the Spirit to do His work of regeneration in the lives of those we love, just as we wait for the fullness of the Spirit to work in situations of our lives that we are powerless to control. We cannot force the Spirit to do our bidding. The disciples waited those ten days, knowing Jesus promised to send the Spirit in its fullness of power for their witnessing. As you pointed out, no matter how eager they were for the promise, they were required to wait in faith.

Brother David, you have blessed me and I can tell you are blessed in your teaching. I have a question, can you explain the difference between your soul and your spirit? I know we’re made in Gods image. Body soul and spirit. I know the Holy Spirit is a person, but in terms of us humans, what is the difference between our soul and our spirit?
@DavidGuzikEnduringWord Жыл бұрын
Some have explained it this way: Body-the physical body (pretty obvious) Soul-emotions, thoughts, hopes, dreams, feelings, the ability to appreciate art or music, the ability to reason, think, etc. All of the non-physical parts of a human. Spirit-That part of us that is dear because of sin, and is born again when we repent and accept Jesus. God is Spirit, therefore, we cannot have a relationship with Him without being born again in the spirit. I hope that that helps!

Did you mean when explaining the Spirit, "dead" in place of "dear"? We are definitely dead in the spirit when unredeemed and not born again.@@DavidGuzikEnduringWord

@@shirleyluthi-cox1629 the Bible says that the unregenerate man is DEAD in their trespasses and sins. You are correct. Blessings!

I find it interesting how God used language to unite when they genuinely were seeking God and God divided tongues when the people were trying to build the Tower of Babel.
