When I was in the coast guard I didn’t get sea sick, but when I would get back on land I would feel “land sick” and find myself swaying back and forth. Seemed like it happened in the shower the most often and I would sway as I washed my hair lol.

damn good question.... but you'll have to ask her actually, bc the boat was her idea. we always watched parlay, nahoa, the wynns, and zataras, but i wanted to get a bigger better van to live in. she was like, "why would you want to live in a van when you can live in a boat." i was like, "uh, cause we po."

Haha! It actually didn’t take much convincing! I was pregnant with #4 and wanted more space! We were watching vanlife vids and it took us to sailing vids. That’s when I fell in love with everything that came with sailing…freedom, adventure, giving our kids a life where they can learn so much from other countries (culture, language, traditions, etc). The only thing was we didn’t think we could afford it, but with a few tweaks of the budget and calculating how much we could pull together if we sold everything, we made it happen! 😊
