Ever since watching your 75 Hard video, I've been a lot more attentive to my daily water intake, reading non-fiction, exercise etc. Your videos are so thoughtfully crafted, and you have such a comforting and engaging presence. So, thankyou for creating these lovely pieces of longform content! They are much appreciated, and I'm sure there are many others who are finding them useful. Please keep creating for as long as it brings you joy :)

I am so happy I have discovered your long form content. I've tried many times to get back into reading but it never worked, what you said about reading becoming a chore or thinking about the benefits too much is probably why. Off to the park to read a non fiction romance that I have researched so that I could find a non-toxic romance novel different to the ones I was hooked on as a teen. Love the concept of rereading childhood books, going to reread Jaquline Wilson's books thank you, you are a joy to listen to :)

I recently found you through Instagram reels, and I am so grateful that the algorithm actually did something good for once. I’m also glad that I found this channel through your Insta account, because here you make the best long form content I have ever seen. I too usually struggle with watching long form content, due to me conforming to the short form uprising. Most podcasts bore me, and most long form videos feel too slow for me. But for some reason, these videos are able to keep me engaged the whole time, without any crazy editing needed. Just you and the camera. Your skill in speaking is very evident. The insights you gave in this video make me want to get back into reading. The concept of reading because you want to and not because you feel like you should is brilliant. I don’t understand why that isn’t taught in school. Thank you so much for this video, and I hope making this long form content will keep working for you.

Thank you so, so much for this comment. This is a new and somewhat daunting process for me, so to be so encouraged at this early stage is truly priceless, thank you so much. I also wish you all the best in getting back into reading! I'm glad you resonated with what I said, that switch in mindset and approach was really the key for me! Thank you again and all the best.

David, you are healing my relationship with men (in the least creepy way possible). I don't know why, as a woman I naturally feel a little distrusting of men, which is something I would really like to work through and heal. Seeing a man be honest and open, and talk about self-love and the things that matter to you, reminds me that there are kind men in the world, thank you

That is a tremendous honour, and I'm very humbled to make a small contribution to your healing. Thank you for being honest and vulnerable with me, and sending you love!❤️🩹

As a viewer i can really feel how genuine you are with these topics and experiences of your life. Thank you for this video and I’m so happy you fell back in love with reading, it truly is one of the greatest joys! I am sorry for your loss ❤ Do you happen to have Goodreads? And for anyone who wants to start reading, I highly recommend reading a book from book to film/tv show adaptations that you enjoyed. The act of reading will be less taxing as you won’t have to do the act of deciphering words to meaning whilst learning all these new names and plot points etc.

Thank you so much, that's so kind of you. I do in fact have a Goodreads but I'm still prevaricating over whether to make it public or not, I quite enjoy the absence of public perception - maybe sometime in the future!

I’m glad that you mentioned about stopping books when they aren’t giving you anything/aren’t fulfilling. I’ve been trying to work on getting back into reading and I find a lot of satisfaction of having finished books but I realised that it if I am forcing my way through something that isn’t enjoyable I’m pushing myself away from a hobby I have loved. It’s great that you advocate for treating yourself with kindness, it shines through. If your podcast is any representation of what you’re like to be around then your friends and family are very lucky!
