Great stuff, David! I have the MLM2PRO and a GC2 and have found the same. The MLM2PRO is an unbelievable unit for the price. I think that one of the best things is how responsive Rapsodo has been to their user community. As others have pointed out, hopefully they will add club data and maybe a direct connection for GSPro with their PGA Show announcements.

Direct connection with GSPro would be a game changer for sure

The MLM2PRO is a good unit, for al those that persevered through the dropouts. Now that we have the updated app as well it’s more visually appealing when using the range. I’m really hoping they release club data at the PGA show, fingers crossed.
@davidmaxfieldgolf11 ай бұрын
Yes if they release face to path data that would be fantastic, they’re constantly improving the unit so it should be continuing to get better 😁

Another great video. I have been going back and forth between getting the MLM and the new skytrak+. Can't imagine a much stronger showing for the MLM than this video. Impressive unit.

My only complaint with the MLM 2 Pro is the no reads. I do feel like they need to work to improve that. I have more no reads than I'd like with mine. When it does read I 100% trust the data though! For the price, it's by far (imo) the best value launch monitor out there.
@davidmaxfieldgolf11 ай бұрын
I don't have much trouble with missreads or no reads, definitely the odd one here and there but that's the same with every launch monitor

Great video! I'm currently saving up for one. Would be so much nicer to use real balls at home instead of driving to the range and using crappy range balls. Just to show the difference... the tracer at the range says i hit their range balls 220 on my best drives when i average 260-270 on the course. So much better practice at home!
@davidmaxfieldgolf11 ай бұрын
Yes range balls are not great to practise with, much better to be using the same ball you would on course

Picked up the MLM2 about 3 weeks ago but got my first full day of use with it yesterday. What i'm noticing is drastically low numbers on everything longer than my PW. Alignment is fine. Lighting is good. Distances from ball to net and ball to device has been dialed but basically has shown minimal impact on the numbers. Makes simulations absolutely impossible and the two combines i did rated me as 49hcp and 32hcp. The one thing that's sticking out to me is the little yellow box while aligning it. Sometimes the box will be flat and sometimes two dimensional. Sometimes it bounces back and forth. Any thoughts anybody?

Do you have fans or aircon running? Sounds like interference

@@davidmaxfieldgolf I actually have it set up outside less than 10 feet from my router. That was good thinking though, David. I appreciate it.

David, another great video. I’m currently using the Garmin R10 in my unfinished basement (lots of concrete). I’ve done my best to cover it but have serious questions about a lot of the data. In your opinion would the MLM2Pro struggle like the Garmin? Thanks
@davidmaxfieldgolf11 ай бұрын
I think the Garmin r10 is a great unit also, the thing that puts the mlm2pro in front is the measured spin axis
@qmccahonlax3111 ай бұрын
MLM2PRO uses dual cameras and radar so there is not the interference like the R10 has. You’ll have a much better and more accurate experience.
@bills682511 ай бұрын
@@qmccahonlax31 thanks for the reply. I don’t believe any of the numbers coming from the R10. Good to know there is an affordable option. Cheers
@hjlamb11 ай бұрын
I used to have the same issue with my R10. I would have to put old towels and blankets over all of the concrete and metal storage shelving that i have in my garage. When I started using the MLM2PRO, the misreads were far less frequent even without the towels and blankets. I think the MLM2PRO is only using the radar to measure the ball speed and club speed when you tell it that you are hitting into a net (outside the radar measures more of the ball flight for shot shape). It's a great unit and I think totally worth the upgrade from the R10. The only downsides compared to the R10 are the subscription that is required for the spin data, no club data other than speed and the fact that there is not a direct connection for GSPro (there are screen scraping connectors but nothing that reads the data directly from the unit via Bluetooth).

What is the distances u had from MLM2Pro to ball & ball to screen
@davidmaxfieldgolf11 ай бұрын
7 foot to ball and 10 foot to screen
@davidbartsch25511 ай бұрын
@@davidmaxfieldgolfthat’s pretty similar to what is required from the R10, correct?
@hjlamb11 ай бұрын
@@davidbartsch255 If you're trying to figure minimum distances, I found the MLM2PRO was the opposite of the R10. I have a fairly limited space (~15 ft). With the R10, the ball to screen was far more critical because the radar measures spin and speed. With the MLM2PRO, the LM to ball is more critical so the cameras can measure the spin. You HAVE to have the ball in the alignment square to get accurate spin readings and for the impact vision.

The RPT ball is a ball designed for the MLM2PRO and you can buy them but they’re very expensive and so I use the ball dots from Rapsodo Ball Dots to add to a normal ball
