Welcome to Pune, India. This city, just a three-hour drive east from Mumbai, is steeped in history and culture, and boasts a vibrant food scene. Today, we're going to explore this historic city’s past and present, from its cultural sites to its traditional and diverse Maharashtrian cuisine.
🇮🇳 MORE INDIA FOOD & TRAVEL VIDEOS: • American Tries INDIAN ...
Pune dates back at least to 758 AD and became India’s political center during the Maratha Empire in the 17th and 18th centuries. It was also the heart of opposition against the British Raj in the 19th and 20th centuries.
In this documentary, I’m taking you to experience Pune’s rich history at Shaniwar Wada Fortress and the temples atop Parvati Hill. We’re also diving deep into some of the best Maharashtrian dishes on the planet, from massive thalis to masal puri to sponge dosas. Pune is a feast for all of your senses, and you’re about to see why. Let’s go to Pune, India!

Good morning David. I have to say that I really enjoyed watching this video. The places you and Sam visited were clean and a little bit easier to get around. Your guides were really nice too. And all that food looked really delicious. The last platter with the huge stuffed paratha reminds me of a smaller version of Trinidadian pepper roti. This one really surprised me compared to other places in India that you went to. Very nice and very well done. You get all thumbs up 👍👍👍👍👍. Very good editing and continuity. "One more thing" as you would say, those videos don't look like they were done five years ago. They look fresh. Difference is that now you don't have hair and you are single. Have a pleasant Sunday and blessings to you and your family. 🙏😇💛🇹🇹🇨🇦

@@SigmaHailey hi Shabana and Hailey. Hope you both are enjoying your day. Shabana, at the time I wrote that, I had a senior moment 😥😭. I made a boo boo. My birthday is actually Tuesday April 4. Time is going by so fast, looked like I gave myself an extra day. Doesn't look like I want to turn 71 yet, LoL. Thanks very much for the birthday greeting. It's going to be a quiet one, but I still have grocery shopping to do, and because it's a short week: Good Friday and Easter weekend. Wishing you and Hailey and the rest of your family a Happy and blessed Easter. Be well and take care. 🙏💛💛😇💐🇹🇹🇨🇦

Hyderabadi Kacchi Biryani is cooking the raw meet along with par boiled rice on a dum... there are many types of Pulaos... but Tava pulao as it says is cooked on the Tava which is the big Iron Griddle on which it is cooked

David. When was this? You have hair 😂 and look a bit younger. How long have you been traveling? Finally reached your destination. These accommodations more traditional and a bit older. So many ladies on the wall. Do like the outdoor space. That’s probably homemade butter. I’m born in Brooklyn but grew up in Guyana. Homemade butter, bread , cheese. Was so disappointed when I had toast and butter in NY. That salted creamy butter is amazing. Love the slab of cheese the same size of the toast 😂🙌🏼. David gonna watch and enjoy. My comment becoming ridiculous 🤦‍♀️😂. Will if I must. Love your videos. Thanks so much. See you next video.

Brother, Pune is considered as one of the best weather city because of it's Moderate-High elevation and greenary... It do get hot sometimes, in summers and October (but only few day not entire month)... but it's average temperature revolves around 23-28 Degrees around the year... Bengalore and Pune are the only Metros which has Pleasant weather throughout the year... It's way way better than Mumbai where I live...
