🇮🇳 NAMASTE MIAMI: / namastemiami305
While I was back at home in Miami, I linked up with a friend and fellow KZbinr to enjoy some Indian food during the biggest Hindu holiday of the year. Come with me as I eat Indian food with Josiah Eats on Diwali!
My boy Josiah focuses on Miami food, so taking him to Namaste, my favorite Indian restaurant in town, was a must!

We started off with some mango lassi, which is a thick and creamy yogurt-based drink. Then, we jumped on kaju katli, which is a dense and sugary sweet.
We followed that with the hara bhara kebab, which are vegan and contain spinach, chickpeas, peanuts, and more. They also brought us some garlic shrimp, Gujarati kachori, and some chilies. We started with some green chilies, which was immediately spicy.
The hara bhara kebab came with tamarind chutney and looked similar to veg pakoras, while the Gujarati kachori came with mint chutney. The kachori was crumbly and had a bit of sweetness to them. I loved the amount of spinach in the hara bhara kebabs! They were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the isnide.
The garlic shrimp came with some green peppers and sesame seeds on top. They were so succulent and tasty, and the red chili paste on them was excellent!
Then, we jumped on the tandoori chicken momos, which are steamed, marinated in a red sauce, and placed in the tandoor. It practically melted in my mouth and was super smoky. They were a little soupy inside like xiaolongbao or khinkali. Adding some mint chutney really set it off!
Next was goat biryani, masala okra, lamb vindaloo, coastal pepper chicken, parathas, and garlic naan. My paratha with the lamb vindaloo was rich and buttery. The coastal pepper chicken had a creamy gravy and was peppery with subtle hints of coconut. I could feel the heat on the back of my tongue!
Next was the masala okra contained so much flavor and had a really nice texture. Then, finally, we jumped on the goat biryani. It was so fragrant and full of spices. Adding the raita made it creamy and glues the rice together! It was incredible!
Finally, we ended with pistachio and coconut kulfi. It’s dense and flavorful! What a great way to end our meal!
