Lance Lamborn Also it’s like when they were talking about Red Dead 2, Though I was disappointed that they didn’t know the in’s and out’s of the game and it’s development, i didn’t expect too much in the first place because they’re not gamers, it’s just a really casual perspective
@LanceL28106 жыл бұрын
@@slendernite7431 I understand that. I guess I should have said surface level, since that's the point I was trying to make. I would understand not knowing the ins and outs of Red Dead, but if you talk about it, know the synopsis at least. In the same sense with political talking points, try to wait until everything comes out and just figure read a summary of the situation. But one other thing I think you have to take into consideration is this podcast itself. The title and about half an hour was dedicated to that political event, if neither of them understood the situation what would be the point of wasting a title and so much time on it? Thankfully that's not what happened and we got to see an opinion on the full context of the situation.

The "newest" batch can easily already be 5-10 minutes old. 5 minutes out of the oil isnt that bad, its often what you're eating if it isnt rush hour.

I'm super happy that Joe was able to shed light on this issue, because I still see a lot of outrage about the Convinton school problem, despite there being video evidence of just what happened soon after all of the outrage. Three things that I noticed are that after watching the video: 1. Before all of the context, I can completely understand hating the kid for the face he makes, but after seeing the situation in full, it's kind of understandable the way he looked. The kid was probably uncomfortable and some guy came up into his face drumming his drum because the guy wanted to "calm the situation down." What face are you supposed to make? I can understand him making a nervous smile being in that situation. 2. As far as I remember the kids actually weren't saying anything hateful or disrespectful. The black Israelites were spewing racist and homophobic rhetoric towards the kids and so the kids asked their teachers if they could drown them out with their school chants. Now looking back at the situation, if Nathan Phillips wanted to de-escalate the situation the ones he should have really gone after are the black Israelites. And 3. While I put some blame on the teachers for not stepping in earlier the political situation of the U.S. is really weird and seeing how far the media put everything out of context the teachers would have been the ones getting doxxed and fired from their jobs. But you also have to think, the Black Israelites and Native Americans were all adults and they decided to go after these teens. They should have acted like adults and shouldn't have started the situation in the first place. But that's just my two cents and I doubt most will listen, so I'm just talking to the wind now.

43:30 Photos of people standing? This isn't Harry Potter where the pictures move bro. There is video footage of at least 1 chaperone that got in the middle and backed the boys up way before Nathan, a professional activist, came for his photo op.
@Polar333Bear6 жыл бұрын
You guys kind of did like a 180 there. First you point out that the kids didn't start it, then you continue by only criticizing kids. The facts are, the black Israelites started everything, they were taunting both the kids and the natives. In response, Nathan Philips stepped in between the two groups, but he wrongfully targeted the students and later told the media that they targeted him. Nathan Philips is the one that walked up to the boy and got in his face. Yes, the look on the boys face does come off real douchy, but once again he did nothing wrong, nor did any of the other students. The leftist media ran with the story of the "evil-white Trump supporting students, harass Native American Elder," even though none of it was true, and many outlets didn't even correct the story after all the facts came out. Yet you guys took it a step further by insinuating that since the kids go to a Catholic school, that somehow smears Catholics. Why? Because a boy stood quietly, and smiled at the people that were targeting him and his classmates? Because the students were "mocking" Nathan Philips by chanting their school motto? Yes, some of the kids acted immaturely, but what did you expect from a bunch of high school students. It's important to remember who was screaming obscenities at who, and who invaded the personal space of others.
@thomasgetter29986 жыл бұрын

Someone got in his face, invaded his personal space, and you expect him to back away. It's not entitlement to think that you can stand somewhere without random people getting up in your business. You also only point out that the kid should have stepped back. Why not mention the fact that Nathan Philips shouldn't have gotten that close to the boy in the first place?
@jakem7496 жыл бұрын
thomas getter Sure, let’s just completely ignore the fact that two groups of grown men accosted the boys while at the same time slandering them with vile language that no minor should have to hear.
