We have had a Lawnbott 3200 Evolution installed for about 10 years now. Works great. When it dies, I am considering your model. We have about an acre of lawn, though. You know, it seems like kind of overkill for the size of lawn you have, but as a gadget-freak, I can appreciate you having one! Looks great!

I'm on my 3rd Husqvarna robot lawnmower. The first was a 330X that died after 2 years and a lot of maintenance. I thought I’d give it a second try and bought a 430X when it came to market. It had stopped by the road and was picked up and crushed by the municipal trash disposal company the very first day after I installed it. Fortunately, the credit card I used to purchase it had an insurance policy and the card company replaced it. The lesson learned there is, don’t complain about credit card annual fees if the card carries benefits such as loss insurance. The 430X does an excellent job of cutting. Having said that, it is a relatively high maintenance system. I’ve already replaced the cutting motor after only a few months of use. Fortunately, it was covered under warranty. The GPS system is ineffective so I use the guide wire program method to obtain better lawn coverage. The remote app is full of bugs and disconnects and/or crashes routinely. If you have grounds keepers or lawn sprinkler service personnel servicing your property, it’s best to make sure that the boundary and guide wires are buried at least 6 inches (150 millimeters) deep. I have to trace and repair cut wires whenever they edge the beds or the sprinkler company digs up lines that the grounds keepers have cut. Finding wire breaks is not as easy as some make it sound and can be very time consuming. I use the USB port and diagnostic program to troubleshoot the mower. My primary residence is in Florida and I have Zoysia grass. The best cutting results next to a drum type mover have been obtained with the 430X. It gets quite hot here in the summer and pushing a drum mower around can be exhausting. I have a love/hate relationship with the 430X.

Why is the gps ineffective? I’ve seen great success with the gps coverage. The boundary wires especially should be pretty easy to avoid during renovations. Just give them a little buffer, you basically know right where they are. Excluded zones and guide wires should be marked or flagged and again given a little buffer.

Ya right, your just to embarrassed to admit you bought it because you're to dam lazy to spend 4 minutes cutting that tiny lawn.

We have cool season grass, so we are not supposed to more every day - according to Husqvarna. No more than every other day for us.

Does it have to be parked at the edge of the lawn like that? I would want to keep it in the garage and have it come out, do its job and go back. Wouldn't want to leave it out like that. Is that possible?
@DavidWhitehouse7 жыл бұрын
Yes unfortunately it does have to be near the lawn as there are wires under the ground that go around the edge of the lawn and connect back to the docking station. However it could just be slightly away from the lawn, and I have seen some people built little houses for them!?!

Looks like it would be something to have if you have a 20'x20' lawn. (if it didn't $2000 plus)

You could cut this with a pair of scissors and still be done quicker than your robot.

You could do many things quicker than robots. I don't think speed is the idea lol

You paid all that money for that when it could of taken you literally 2 minutes to cut
@3litepker6 жыл бұрын
Probably 4 mins to do it all, bringing out the mower and emptying it etc which is basically 24hrs in a year. That's a whole 24 hours you could spend doing something else.
@stangtrax6 жыл бұрын
3lite LMAO you are funny or stupid. Your math means someone would cut there grass with a weed eater or lawnmower every single day. Yes the robot does because it cuts very little off. But honestly it's up to each person if they want to buy it.

5mins to get changed, 5mins to get it out of the garage & run a power lead round, 5mins to actually cut it and dispose of the clippings, 5 mins to clean and put everthing away, 5mins to get changed again. 25mins total. 30 times a year --> 12hrs a year.

Hahaha barely a small patch of grass in the yard and he got this. Gotta admit it is pretty cool though so I could see why.

If I payed that more for a mower I would want it to weed eat the grass too.

Be just as easy to mow it yourself. Your garden needs edging properly by the gravel.

Panagiotis Pantazopoulos I have a 450x and 3/4 of an acre. At 7 hrs a day it takes a little over 2 days to cut the entire property. I wish you could easily add units to cut the time down.
