This is why we tie our own. To create, or reimagine flies to our own uses. I think this is a beautiful tie. Love the Sharpie work and the addition of wings. Would love to see you do a version of a Rusty Spinner. I’m going to work on some.

Wow these are really cool little flies! I will give a go at tying them as small as I can the next time I decide to tie. Thanks Davie!

Hi Davie I've been experimenting with a midge pattern that I tie using the DH style. It looks the goods but I can't fish it to try it out until August I like the variations that you are tying with this style of fly. Tight Lines Craig

Hi Dave, i see many tying on Jig hooks, i do also, what about tying a Muddler minnow on a Jig hook, if you invert the hook in the vise on a size #12 Jig Hook. If you scale the proportions down, you can see how nicely a muddler minnow body sets in there. I put some small non lead wire to the hook shank 5 wraps, it balances it self out. Another fly to try.

Davie, forgive my ignorance but this dry pattern is it for still or moving water, or indeed both? Another belter, must admit you make it look so easy but an excellent commentary muke it very user friendly. Thanks for your time.

Hi @piotrchybio9974, I use Veniards clear varnish, thinners and their bottle with a brush which I trim so it's tapered to apply the varnish as you may see in the video.. I have attached links to them for you to see.. All the very best Davie..
