How to Design a Book Cover in GIMP 2.10

This was good and I learned a lot. How about a video for submission to KDP for the entire book cover? (Front, back, spine and bleed area.) How do we properly leave space for ISBN numbers etc? Thanks.

Thank you for this! What about the back of the book? I was trying to upload a cover to amazons kdp for a hardcover book and cover + back seem to be expected as one for that. Do you know what I mean? How do I do that?

Does gimp/darktable open cr3 file I.e canon raw

New to Gimp. I got as far as "I do have another tutorial to show you how to use the foreground select tool..." but then you don't show the steps, so I'm unable to continue. I'm left with a model in the middle of the image with a selected foreground that I don't know how to get out of. It's hard to take tutorial that skips steps. You waste your time and don't learn anything.
