I love that were getting almost a 1 to 1 experience with the ipad as we would the desktop/laptop/macbook. The biggest thing now we have to wait and see is if Blackmagic Design will look at this and go "huge success, lets optimize the pencil now for better use" or "they werent supposed to find that, lets lock it down". Fingers crossed for the next update.

Definitely, it’s make or break regarding how Blackmagic respond to this. Hopefully they implement a way to activate these extra pages without a hack and simply say they’re in beta. This will allow people to use them, even if they don’t work perfectly and they’ll have a way to speedily gather data on what does and doesn’t work so the developers can optimise. Blackmagic are on the verge of revolutionising the iPad, making it a truly pro machine for video professionals. Let’s hope they don’t mess it up ! Apple are showing no signs of FCP and Adobe messed up with the iPad so they will have all the potential FCP / Premiere Pro market share if they do this properly.

Another great tidbit of information about this new version of Resolve. Yesterday I got sky replacement working for me. There is so much to be learned about it but definitely worth checking out and getting into it as soon as possible to get the hang of this. Thanks again for your valuable videos.

Nice tutorial! Is there a way to customize the speed percentage? Or are we stuck at these presets between 200-800 - I do see that you can squeeze it together after to achieve higher speeds but is there a way to do it off the bat?

Good video instruction Daniel. Thank you. After trying this out I found that sometimes the clip greys out after a while and won't show in the preview window anymore!!! Is there a way to resolve (excuse the pun!) this? Deleting the clip and reinserting is the only way I can sort this. Buggy.

Whenever I do this on my ipad pro (m1) my davinci crashes so frequently that I have given up on speed ramps on the ipad and go to my pc instead. Have you run into that?

Bcs it is not optimized well yet. Program is just more like a forked version of PC Da Vinci Resolve.

I can’t take using the pencil for Resolve anymore. The time you waste trying to just make one adjustment other than a simple edit is mind numbing and counter productive. I would never recommend using the ipad pro for more than just DIT work in the field or basic edits. To quote “what the fuck just happened” is common when using the Ipad Pro and Resolve 19.
