For the many line up changes Vader has, they do have a very consistent sound. Usually bands lose their sound after so many have come and gone and I know Dawg would agree. Some bands are just straight up cover bands when all the OGs are gone but Vader still rips. One of the best out of Poland.

Not a huge Pantera fan, but after Far Beyond Driven i gotta give Phil some credit. He had a #1 album and went totally non commercial with Trendkill. Also, the Down demos started getting passed around in that timeframe and it was far Better than Pantera imo, and pretty underground and visceral for the time. He really pushed against selling out when everyone else was. Now i know they came out with their stadium rock album after that "reinventing the steel" but that was when the brothers made their studio in their backyard and were really experimenting with sound quality. Reinventing has some unbelievable guitar work on it though, its by far Dimebags most technical stuff. But i think those would be sone good points to bring up in an interview

Any of you fools aware of a band called Hyperdontia? Formed "wayyy back in 2015", "it's been a while". Catchy "meat and potatoes" death metal, head boppin riffs, good guitar solos. Better than most new death metal I've been hearing in these past years. Cool artwork, name, band members fit the bill mmmhmmm yupyupyup. Men. Fucking men. Doubt they'll blow your socks off, get you fist pumpin mania or air guitarrin, but definitely a good background listen that isn't stale yet.
