i have an older version of these and feel this review covers most of what i've experienced with mine. 100% agree that the mic makes me sound a bit nasal-y. they don't breathe that well, so i tend to intermittently slide one ear cup off at a time. as a glasses wearer as well, no issues with the clamping force, very comfortable. mine came with the splitter that turns the 4-pole plug into 2 3-pole plugs for PCs with individual headphone/mic jacks; when i plug the 4-pole plug into my laptop, i don't get any mic response either.

I have the plain Corsair HS60 version of these and I've had them for over a year now. They sound pretty decent but the mic is really poor, I suggest to purchase a better mic off Amazon as there are better quality ones that pickup sound so much better and sounds more natural. They sound better than the cheap$20-40 "Gaming Headsets" off Amazon that I have had in the past. I really wish they cable was detachable as my kids have managed to pinch it one or twice and now it crackles sometimes. Meaning I can't replace the cable with a different one. I still suggest to buy them and you won't be disappointed. If you want better quality then move away from "Gaming Headsets" and move onto audiophile headphones if you want better, richer sounds, but those usually have no mic.

Nice review Dawid! They are nice, i tried Corsair headphones in the past but i found them lacking in mid and high, or just the bass is to dominant. I'm currenctly using a Superlux pair, hd681 evo, 40€ very happy, i love listening heavy metal using them

Have you noticed this massive design flaw in the headset where the speaker audio will get picked up by the microphone as background noise? This is only avoidable if you lower your speaker audio or mic audio which makes the headset far more tedious and annoying to use (if not outright limiting). I’m surprised you haven’t noticed or commented on it and I suggest you warn potential buyers of the headset

I have had these headphones for many many months now and they are the best in all ways. Amazing sound quality, a good microphone, very comfortable, and for the amount of times that I threw them from rage they don't even have a scratch. 10/10 would recommend.

The reason why that the microphone was not working with the single jack is because you need a headphone/mic combo jack like what nzxt has on their cases. You were just using an audio jack

Wait is the microphone not working without the usb adapter consistent with all the headsets? I was planning on ordering this from amazon, and after looking at the images, it's implied you only need the usb adapter for the 7.1 surround sound. If that's the case, oof, massive deal breaker for me.

It's been a while so I can't remember if I mention it in the video, but the microphone does only work with the USB dongle thing. If you just use the 3.5mm jack only the headphone part functions not the mic or 7.1

When you used the 3.5mm jack did you try using a Y splitter? This splits the 3.5 jack into 2 so then you put 1 in the mic and the other in the audio input.

I got hs60 loved them best headset sound for warzone if you don't like bassy gun shots and explosion footsteps are real nice. I also own Astro a50 and I'd choose the hs60 for warzone . I gave my nephew the hs60 because he was in need and today just bought another pair because the Astro a50 isn't cutting it .

Having recently tried this headset,I find the surround sound is much better than Logitech Pro X,had it not been for the Blue technology that makes Logitech mic sound way better,I would have stood with Corsair.Might actually purchase it again for when I'm not live streaming.

@@DawidDoesTechStuff there is also the MH 752 that connects with a USB sound card, sold at around 85$, with 7.1, but not worth it imho, the 751 is much cheaper (got it at around 60€ in France, whre the hardware is known to be more expensive...) and gets the job done. Good sound quality, and I was really surprised with the microphone quality (Hardware Canucks were too apparently !)

honestly there are so many Good Standalone mics that i dont see a reason that anyone should be using the integrated mic on a headset unless they travel, i use a razer siren v2 x alongside my headset, i just bought the HS60 pro to last until i can afford to buy a pair of hd58X from Sennheiser old headphones broke and needed something to hold me over since my IEMs arent ideal for voice chat V shaped sound signiture

So, I had three questions regarding my corsair hs60 pro headsets, first is, that the mic in the headset, though being said to be noise cancelling, but still they catch a lot of outside noise, i was playing with my friend, and he could literally hear a lot of things people around me were saying, so can i somehow change any settings or anything to make the mic be more noise cancelling, and what settings should i change and how should i do it, otherwise the mic sounds perfectly well and crystal clear, My second question is that, Should i enable windows sonic for headsets, is it any useful, what benefit does it have, and what is it for, third question is, that how do i properly use 7.1 surround sound, should i use the windows in built settings or should i use the iCUE software, Actually i tried the software but the problem is that the software uses a lot of cpu, and i dont assume that without keeping the software run in background would enable 7.1 surround sound, and as it uses a lot of cpu, i didnt use it much, is there any way to reduce the cpu usage of icue software, Thank You.

you connect the headset though the headphone jack to usb adapter that comes with it. you turn on the 7.1 in the icue software which i really dont recommend using that as it is horrible

I had the HS50's and I really enjoyed those. They eventually broke on me Which I don't remember how they broke. I do remember though that the part that goes over the cushioning on the earmuffs came out alot and that was really annoying. But overall I loved the headset. I just bought the HS60 Pro for $50 on Amazon and am excited to have them!

if you're on pc, you need to use the included adapter I think. make sure to check in windows settings if the correct input device is selected.
