Harried for the lead all the way round, took a bath at the water, went through a fence second time round, three horses pass her in the straight and still she wins going away at the end. What a brave mare. Tears rolling down my face writing this. Shame on the Hills for what they put her through after this.

I think that was a genuine and realistic commentary. It was one of the greatest races ever and the commentar did it justice.

She was done cold at the last fence, wayward lad ran out of steam. Dawn run didn't quicken, wayward lad blew up, he couldn't get 3 mile 2 at Cheltenham. She just ran on past the tired horse....then they greedily killed her a few weeks later.

@@beverleymorris167 if I remember correctly she ran at aintree (and fell) Punchestown in a 50k match against Buck House which she won, a warm up race in France (she finished 2nd) before finally being fatally injured in the French Champion Hurdle.

+Martin Meaney Doubt he backed her. I cheered Sprinter Sacre in this year's Champion Chase despite not backing him.

Me too haha. I thought I had her backed. Told everyone i talked to back her you'll get money back as free bet at least. Found out I hadn't put the bet on online. I was still glad she won. Cheltenham isn't about money I realise now. You get to take part in History to an extent. Same with Vautour. Hair raising stuff
