Also because I feel like someone will take my thumbnail too eariously: Healers will still be fun I'm just wishing scholar got miasma 2 back and sage now lost it's stacking DoT and no healers aren't screwed but like I definitely wish I had anything else to cast on the GCD than broil oh my gosh please in 8,0 please no more broil

@@ColeEvyx I was so hyped for an additional dot on Sage and now I feel deeply disappointed. I've said it before and I will say it again. FFXIV has the worst healer design to dungeon/raid design out of any MMO (5 MMO's) I've played, which is only made worse with the lack of interesting DPS rotation. Healing is for sure fun during prog, especially when blind, but healing in prog is always fun in any MMO. Playing healer in FFXIV for anything outside of prog is, imo, the worst experience I've had with MMO's and I tried and installed FFXI (and later dropped. Isn't counted as one of the 5 mmo's as I did not get deep enough with it)

Drg: I like the changes mostly. Blm: changes are ok. Wtf is with the reducing of the aoe power? Esspecialy, before lvl 100. Many other classes: has mostly increase in potency. Esspecialy the monk looks to be a big winner. Mch, and some healers looks to be the looser. Where whe have practicly no changes (Esspecialy the scholar)

Monk was ruined, it went from a freeflow rotation to a new stack system that makes it impossible to do the rotation incorrectly. They legit killed the job’s identity.

The rdm losing raise was not a rumor. It was a comment that yoshi p said in an interview “he’s not sure if rdm will still have raise after 7.0” because the person interviewed him was asking why only one dps mage had raise. Yes a stupid question because rdm history was able to raise.

If they remove Verraise then they need to seriously buff RDM. The only reason it gets to do less damage than SMN is because it has a raise ((Granted SMN has a raise too from lvl 12 that they like to forget)) that it can spam faster than even healers. If RDM loses its raise (alongside SMN, again, you forgot and are probably referencing the wrong raise because YoshiP said for Endwalker SMN was lucky to keep its raise) then RDM will have to do mid level Melee damage, and far out DPS a SMN because of the cast time difference (As in, RDM actually have cast times)

I appreciate that they keep trying to balance things out, but unfortunately I feel the tenacity change is such a waste of everyone's time. People will literally never build tenacity over crit+det/dh. It'll never happen. It would need to be overtuned to such an insane extent that its contribution to DPS output is higher than crit contribution, at which point it'd become a completely broken stat since it contributes to defences and healing too, which would destroy balance on all boss's values. So then they'd have to start balancing content around tenacity, at which point it just becomes tank's version of crit -- mandatory lol. I know and appreciate that they're just adding it as like an option for teams who are struggling with taking too much damage but no tank in the entire game is ever going to accept nerfing their own DPS, and most healers are nowhere even in the same galaxy as humble enough to accept that they're feeling overtaxed. I admit I have no idea how I'd even begin to tackle the problem. Maybe if tenacity also raised HP it could function as rDPS increase since it allows healers to keep DPSing, but most optimal healing already happens OGCD as it is, so I dunno.

People who only do dungeons and other content are more than likely to meld it now for sure. I will do a build for sure to see what the differences actually are. As long as there is almost nothing but 1 shot mechanics tenacity will mean nothing.

Why make traits to increase damage on our ST and DoT but not at least take the 5 seconds of dev time to upgrade the spell effects so we at least have something new to look at/get bored of. Instead, they gave us new aoe heal spells that we are actively disincentivized from using 🤦. 4plus years of the same spell is not cool SE.

@@livingdeadty I was referencing the healer changes. My first point was, if the devs took the time to add a trait which simply raises the potency of existing ST and DoT spells, why not take just make the trait, for example, upgrades Biolysis to Biolysis 2 and Broil 4 to Broil 5? This would give us something new to look at instead of spamming the same ST for years and years. My second point was, they actually did this with the GCD AoE spells (Succor is now Concitation, Aspected Helios is now Helios Conjunction, etc.). When you play a healer, every GCD you waste on a healing spell is a GCD you could have used to DPS. Ofc, there will be times in savage/ultimates or things go tits up when you need to use GCD heals, but it is something to be avoided at all costs whenever possible. You should be using your oGCD abilities as much as humanly possible over GCD heals. That’s why I am saying, why upgrade a spell we are disincentivized from using and not the ones we have to spam over and over?

Taking that off the sage is so fckd up. I know 100% many sages were out dpsing many dps out there with even same item level, but this is not the way to handle this. @@twistedlime1975 Objectively, adding a DPS rotation to a job that spends most of its time hitting 1 button to DPS does add complexity. Whether you enjoy that complexity or not, it does add it to these jobs. And yes, plenty of healers are joining the healer strike and playing DPS, because healers in FFXIV are BORING. You barely have to heal anything in 99% of content and then spam broil/glare/dosis/malefic all day. Which is exactly the reason why people would like more damage buttons for healers. If content is going to stay so piss easy that you don't even need healers to beat it, at least let the healers have a DPS rotation to keep them engaged. Healers in Heavensward had more DPS optimization AND more damage to heal. I would love to go back to that too.

I love how the healer strike just....allows for you to post Healers are F****D on your video thumbnail, but if there was no strike (which there really isn't a strike), it would not be that in your thumbnail. SGE and WHM got a bit shafted, but there is nothing wild that is changing healers to be even more effed than they were....come on. I had a lot of respect for your channel but the clickbaity thumbnails and drama baiting are so over the top now.
